I think its funny how Woodfin can be one of the meanest mountain area police forces when it comes to traffic tickets, but somehow their higher authority figures end up being corrupt. Hmmmmmm something fishy smells reaaallly bad.

You got that right. This is the second Chief that has been charged on Federal charges. There was Darrell Rathburn some years back who was asked to resign from the Weaverville Police Department because his extensive criminal record came to light, the story was in all the papers, he then became Chief of the Police Department in Hot Springs. That didn't last long, then he became Chief of the Woodfin Police Department and was let go from there. He then went to the Campus Police at UNCA where he was working when arrested on federal charges of violating the civil rights of those he arrested. He went to prison for those charges.

What kind of mojo or luck or whatever does Bradley have that he keeps walking on all these charges? This man needs to be put out of everyone's misery for a long time. If I had broke the law like he has, they would have already had me put under the jail!

I did not realize that for one conviction of domestic violence, your second amendment right is permanently revoked. If, as alleged, he assaulted his wife, then he should be punished. But, to permanently suspend his gun rights is silly. The government keeps looking for ways to take guns away. This incident was a misdemeanor. You may not agree with me, and think that guns rights should be suspended, but, one day when the government keeps placing limitations on who can and cannot own a gun, it will be your rigths infringed upon because you, oh I don't know, wear a pink shirt. If the federal government fully enforced the laws on their books, most people would have already had their guns taken away.
Answer me this: Say you have never been arrested for anything in your life, but your spouse had. My understanding is that a felon cannot be in the same house where guns are kept and maintained, therefore, the rights of the non-offending spouse have been restricted, too. I would no-longer be able to protect myself because of the actions of someone else??????????

The big mistake Bradley made was to rat out what was going on in the DOT - ever since then he has been a law enforcement pariah. You think he was the only law enforcement officer in that diaper club?? Not by a long shot, but he is the only one to be "outed" and dragged through the papers over and over. Patsy recanted before she died - this is the only case I can ever think of where Ron Moore's office prosecuted and AOF with a recanted statement and a dead victim. Why?? Because Ron Moore's office was dragged into the DOT scandal and big Ron himself had to go to Federal Court. And, remember that it was Ron Moore's office that "leaked" the confidential SBI report that put the diaper club on the front page of the ACT. This whole thing is big time payback to Bradley - tell the truth about our dirty little payola and you will never be a LEO again. Plus, we'll drag you through the mud over and over and make sure you never even can own or carry a gun again. This whole thing stinks to high heaven - and it ain't from the dirty diapers, either.

When or if he ever gets to the big house, they will be fighting to be the one to change his diaper.

I'm with you, Wonderin. And don't forget that Bradley's civil suit was brought on the other side of the state because of federal politics in WNC.

The town has to make sure the ex-mayor Homer will never be arrested. That is why the ABC store is just up the street from him.
