Claims administrator: Interim payments in $4.85 billion Vioxx s...

Based on what was taken out of my settlement I paid 4% toward the common benefit fund. It was supposed to be only 1% but they are trying to hide 3% of it in the expenses. I hope they don't think that I am so stupid that I can't see this move on their part. I have talked to 3 different lawyers in Judge Fallon's office. I hope they give him a ear full so he does something about this highway robbery.

Found out what my hold up is on my final check, My angry Ex-wife that wants more and more, she has not signed the papers. She loves to play her games!!!

I haven't gotten my final settlement yet still waiting. I hope I don't have a crooked lawyer. But if I do I sure will be on the phone to Judge Fallon in a heart beat. I can't beleive the sh_t that is being pulled on us.Haven't we been through enough??My thoughts and prayers are with all.

Could you give me a hint what the lawyers at Fallons office said to you ?? i have still not got word back from Jen at BG

The 8% was paid out of the lawyers 32%. We only pay 1%.

I contacted Jen at BG Thursday and sent her a copy of my paper work she wanted to show it to her people there at BG and get back with me

To Jerimaih- I know that - I am saying that if your law firm takes 24% and 8% and 1% and your actual legal expenses paid about $1500-$2,000, than you should not have to pay an extra $10,000.
you should get at least say 66% of the total point value.
I am glad Confused Hoosier called jenn at BG and Almost Over called the Judge's office.
As far as Andy goes.... sorry you have a crappy ex wife. You should not even need her signature if you were the victim!! seems unfair to me.

Now back to my plight - I haves SW as does a few others on here. Still waiting for my final payment. I Called 2 people on Friday and was told they are going alphabetically. They were up to the "h's" he said they only sent 2 checks out from the end one "t" and one "w".
I have to wait until the end of next week and then call back!! I sent back my recap and they got it on the 9th. I can only hope for a miracle that I get a call on Monday with good news.
I guess I would not care so much if I were not so broke this month. Hey I have been waiting since Aug 2008 I can wait another few days.

Gosh concerned, I have not been on here for a few days, but I thought you would have gotten yours by now, but didn't your lawfirm have a lote of claimants? Mine had around the 600 range, and I saw where some lawyers had up in the 2,000 range, so that's probably why yours is taking longer. Good Luck, and I believe you will see something next week surely, I know you are worn out over this like the rest of us was. I know how you feel, I was there, I am so glad its about to be over for everyone.

Andy,why would your exwife have anything at all to do with a injury case involving you? Ohio is a separate accounts case regarding man & wife.Unless your attorney handling your divorce foolishlessly let her weasel into it she should have nothing to say about it.Just my opinion in the matter.After all you are still alive and she never took Vioxx and was injuried,you were.

Andy...Been there, done that, and in Ohio...This is a "Personal Injury" settlement...which means, Personal...the spouse has no, and I mean NO.....RIGHTS TO YOUR SETTLEMENT" YOUR ATTORNEY KNOWS THIS...HE'S GIVING YOU A BUNCH OF BS!

This was my first thought. I didnt say anything as I have no experiance with divorce laws, but if I were a judge, an EX wife (or husband) wouldnt get a dime.

They Lawyers handed me a bunch of BS, We all know this, I still think she is not entitled to anything. In our Divorce hearing, she lied in court, I listed this Vioxx case and it was never discussed. I had a terrible Lawyer that cheated me out of over $3,000.00. I still ended up with 7 years of spousal support. Then when she came after me for the Vioxx settlement, I had to hire another Lawyer,(MORE BIG MONEY). So she won a percentage of that.Now she still controls what happens. She is a very evil and sick woman, The Lawyers tell me that since we were married at the time of my MI, she was entitled? I caved in since I am broke with Lawyer fees ......

I just want the Vioxx case and my ex to go away. Read my reply to Dick in Ohio. I am a very Peacefull Person that does not lie. Here in Ohio , You have to lie, cheat and steal I guess. These Lawyers can help these kind of people. But they can't help the Honest hard working people just break us down and take our money.As we have all seen with this Vioxx case.
