Rendell calls Monday meeting on table-games tax

Gov. Rendell is calling on both parties' leaders in the state legislature to meet with him Monday and resolve the lingering dispute over a table-games tax to free up money for state-supported colleges, hospitals, and museums.

Lottery in PA goes to senior citizens.
Lottery in California goes to education for colleges, etc. so that education is a right and not all tuiton based or who has the money.
I also believe it should be the right of a private club or organization like the VFW, American Legion, Fire halls to have slots, hores races, game boards. The only reason why they are prohibited by the state is the stat of PA hasn't found away to benfit from those things they either do not know about or have yet to find away to extract the revenue. Most of these private clubs benefit the community or the cause for which they stand.
