Lived out here most of my life and have been hearing bad things about both of them. It figures, just when things are running good, someone comes along with their own agenda.

I was at that meeting and what a shame, to bring Santa Claus into local politics, Mrs. Doom should step down if that what she calls important business. What small minded people even come up with this. As far as Alice is concerned she is a bit full of herself. I don't care how long she has been around. Sometimes it's good to go into a new direction. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this.

So So sad that politics & a grandstanding supervisor should get in the way of a really great event. I have been at the townships Christmas program for over 15 years and the last couple of years have been a great improvement from the same old thing that has been offered to us year after year. Seems as if the township has elected a control freak that wants to "tell" the commission what to do. Only the Board of Trustees that can direct any commission. Someone needs to inform the supervisor what her role is, she needs to read the township charter act and get off her high horse. Don't you think there are more important things for her to do than to micro manage Santa. From what I am told she only works a few days a week because of her other job. I remember her saying she is a full time supervisor unlike the past supervisor. I've been at township hall several times and she has never been in once.Hold on residents of Huron its going to be a long nasty ride with the current supervisor up on her control tower she will put this township back 30 years.

What were these people thinking? What about young kids who happen to be in the room when their parents are watching the board meeting? Why don't they just take out an ad on facebook and tell all the kids in the world that Santa isn't real. I mean....I still get Santa gifts on Christmas morning.....hum!

Again, I agree. The supervisor should fulfill her campaign promise to be a full time supervisor. She should focus on developing working relationships with surrounding communities, the county and state to help our township move forward. She needs to be out courting businesses for our commercial & industrial areas in order to bring much needed tax revenue to our community. So far, all but one of the new businesses who have located in Huron Township recently came in through our previous supervisor. The other one was brought in through our planning consultants.

She needs to stop micro-managing committees and commissions, so she can concentrate on securing a financially sound future for Huron Township. Committee and commission members have been appointed to their positions to do a job.

Elke:---TRUST THEM & LET THEM DO THEIR JOBS---

Elke is a minority on the board, along with her cohort Mendrysa. They both need to learn to work as a team. Nothing fruitful will ever come out of this situation until they learn to be cohesive with their fellow board members.

Thats all I have heard from the mentioned board members is "teamwork", they are the odd team out at least from when I watch of all the board meetings. I see 5 people who were re-elected and 2 new people who think they are bigger than what they are. Especially the supervisor, who should realize there are 7 elected officials that were elected, not 1 leader and 6 puppets. Unless local government has changed and I missed it. I've been involved in this community my whole life and have never seen such a poor sense of leadership even with the last female supervisor getting recalled. Maybe thats what needs to be done here.

I agree with Concerned. Doom is a lousy politician. She didn't buy expensive furniture, personal laptops or spend thousands on conferences as an cover for party time and drinking binges. A politician that is fiscally responsible? Not acceptable.

Mrs. claus is very naughty saying those things about santa, you should be ashamed of yourself being as old as you are and being a pillar of the community. For you, is it cookie or kookie I don't know but you repeated it and now you too, are probably going to get sued, shame on you both, you both are very small minded people. If you don't know what I'm talking about ask the apple fest committee you said it in front of. You might be crab apple annie but you are no mrs. claus, you and your bunch are nothing but a bunch of cackling hens with doom being the head quacker. Shame shame. Doom what a piece of work you are, the way you welcomed Wellman to our community. you really need to work on your people skills. Who would want to live in this township, with tou as the welcoming committee? You should also apologize for thar too.

Did we elect a bunch of losers I mean spenders? All I hear is that the township is in financial trouble and must cut cut cut & we have politicians spending our tax dollars on unnecessary crap. Maybe we should be asking them about all their expenses. I could use some new furniture, a laptop and a plane ticket. Whos the one or ones doing all this. Expose them

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Scorpio

If you're feeling brave enough, you should get out all your receipts`, and then tot up how much you've spent this month. Or don't you have the courage to do so? It will be far better to know the truth than to pretend that everything's all right. But don't let it spoil what promises to be a delightfully enjoyable and rather emotional day.
