Ider Police Dept.

Everyone needs to be very careful in Ider. The police is on the hunt. My husband got a speeding ticket at 4 am on his way to work. He was doing 60 in a 55! That terriable man. He was on Al Hwy. 117. I can tell u that this started a sore spot for us. We no longer spend any of our money there. Used to go to the Foodland, pharmacy, and the dollar stores but not any more. That $153 ticket is the last money we will give Ider. Just thought i would warn anyone going thru there to becareful. Very careful!

the speed limit has been changed by the state on hwy 117 to 50mph from the crossroads to pass tulox so he was 11 mph over the speed limit .

dont seem to be able to make the people happy when we had the prevous police dept everybody complained because they never did nothing now they complain because they do are they suppose to choose only cetain ones to ticket if it makes you feel better some of the names in ider have also had speeding tickets because one of the ones that got a ticket told me and said they where not happy but they where speeding so they paid thier ticket because thats what the police are paid to enforce the law and speeding is breaking the law.

You are right just watch the zone and don't speed. For years people said the police was at home asleep or at the police dept asleep. The people sleep late and drove a little fast to make up time did not want to be late for work. some took a little time to do some thing and made up time by speeding. Now do they just seat by and watch the people run 65 or 70 in a 50 mph What would you say would be fair to run in 50mph zone or just get up 15 min early.
ticket $153.00 div X 15mins would be $10.20 per min. that would be $612.00 per hr. Think about it slow down Foodland or any other business did not make any one speep. Maybe pick another route to work. But not 141 that where they got me

I agree 100%. But you know that`s exactly how it use to be, it depended on who you were or who you knew. Also when no officer
is working school zone - people don`t slow down even with the school zone sign flashing. The law is the law and should apply to everyone!

speed limit is 50 on 117 now regardless of the time or who you are just suck it up and be glad that speeding ticket wasnt a reckless driving pay it just like i did think about it if that was someone speeding and hurt or and killed someone you love think about it how you would feel.

You all just go a head and drive you always have it will be o k until the JEEP is out and he will stop maybe at 11 mph if good he will write you a warning. But go ahead and get smart and it will a find of $150.00 but if you run 15 miles over the 55 mph you will get a tickit for real. So what do you want slow down or $150.00 tickit at is up to you slow down or get one with your name

try to obey the speed limit which is 50 and 35 in school zone when light are flashing on 117.

I happen to know that Officer Munza is very fair. So are the other police I've had dealings with. I actually have a case against me from Barry, and know he will deal with me fairly. Folks, if you don't break the law, you won't get a ticket or go to jail. The speed limit is there for safety reasons. The laws are in place to keep us safe. Don't complain that you get a speeding ticket, SLOW DOWN. I am familiar with CR141 that someone was typing about earlier, and people fly down that road like it's a freeway now that it's been paved. There are children that play in that area. They speed and talk on the phone, and put on makeup, and then ooops one day they are going to hit someone. Then what will be complaining about? How come the Ider Police let them speed through there..... Get a grip folks. There's a older rap song that says "Don't start not s..t won't be no s..t." If you don't break the law, you won't have to worry about getting a ticket. The law applies 24 hours a day.... It doesn't stop applying just because it's 4 am and you are late to work. Sorry, but fact is fact.

Look ppl. i never said he wasnt breaking the law. yall have took this whole thing and blowed it out of portion. now its school zones and killing ppl. notice i said 4 am. no school zone then. the speed limit sign said 55! not 50 not 35! no flashing school zone lights! most law enforcement will allow a 5 mile over. i guess yall run EXACTLY the speed limt every time u get into the car! never over. not even 1 mile! i was just trying to warn ppl that u better be careful going thru Ider. Yall just took that and made something out of it. i think with druggies, meth labs and burgleries and everything else that going on they must be better things for cops to do. i could even understand being pulled over at that time of the morning cause most ppl aint even out then. most of the time ppl out that time r up to no good. we r decent ppl just trying to make a decent living a lead a good decent life. we do not sit at the computer and tottaly judge ppl with our "holier than thou" attitude. we paid our ticket and moved on. maybe yall could do the same.

you are correct but the speed limit has been changed from 55 to 50 at all times except during school traffic lights by the state.

The speed limit change why could he not give a warning this time and tell him it had changed and don't do it again

you know there is this sign that says SPEED LIMIT on it and last time i checked you had to be able to see and read to drive so watch for signs !!!!
