Give it up Mike. You are too boring and and out of touch.

Thanks to you, Bucks County is stuck with that sick liberal child Patrick Murphy.

Harry Fawkes should shut his octagenerian mouth and retire before he costs the GOP even more seats.

You act like liberal is a bad thing.? where as I believe being to much to one side or the other is a bad thing. I think murphy is right down the middle. I don't believe anyone is stuck I happen to like murphy way better than many others.

Great news that Mike is back in
public life! We need people like
him, who are ethical and intelligent,
to lead our government.

Sounds like he couldn't hack the private sector of actually producing for your paycheck. It always kills me that these politicians talk about how valuable they are and deserve raises when in office, but when they go into private sector, it isn't too long until they are running back to the polls, begging for a dole job off the government again as a politician.
Politician, the highest paying, easiest job, available in the marketplace. So easy, we elect 20 something year olds to the state legislature that pay $80,000+ per year. Jennifer Mann would be hard pressed to find a job in Allentown, even with a Lehigh degree in Political Science for $80k.

Seeking a position in the state legislature is a peculiar move down the ladder, perhaps a path will be cleared as payback for not trying to get his old seat back.
Fitz. did little in office and there's little prospect of him doing much in Harrisburg.

Fitzpatrick won't make it to Harrisburg. He's simply unelectable.

Once a guy is out, once a guy loses, like our own Bob Freeman in Northampton County, take the hint and stay out.
To do otherwise is to confess an addiction to the public dole.
Next, imagine a hack like TJ Rooney trying to get back into office.UGH.

That criticism wasn't fair to Mike Fitzpatrick, Jennifer Mann, and those who hold public office or seek to hold public office. Pennsylvania is one of the most politically competitive states in the nation. Do you know what it takes to run for Congress, state Representative, or any elected position in Pennsylvania? It takes shoe leather and grit pounding the pavement for votes. It takes thick skin to withstand criticism, whether it's coming from the media or your neighbors. Yes, it takes determination to set fund-raising goals to ensure your message will reach the voters through direct mail, radio ads, and TV ads. You face many obstacles and many disappointments, not to mention public rejection.

I just briefly described the campaign, and haven't even waded into governing. Most lawmakers are on the job seven days a week, 12 hours a day. Could you keep that type of schedule?

I have the upmost respect for political candidates and incumbents, no matter what their party affiliation may be. And yes, I have a B.A. in political science, and I'm very active in politics.

I would have liked to have known his Son since his Dad passed on great genes and made a winner in his Son's bravery ..... Believe me !
Been there .
