My experience convinces me that narcissists use these backwards reactions to things as shock tactics. They strike you as the sight of apple falling UP from a tree would. It takes you aback. It disarms you.
That way the narcissist gets away with it, because you are stunned. It's kinda like a "sucker punch".
While your jaw is hanging and you are wondering where that reaction came from - whether you or the narcissist is the crazy one - the narcissist performs this hit-and-run to get away with the abuse.
It's a way to disable you (by morally stunning you) so that you cannot defend yourself from the attack. The term for disabling and then attacking someone is "mayhem." Needless to say, it's the lowest of the low who fight that way.
Know anybody who does that you? Who somehow takes offense and gets mad just when you are saying or doing something that should make them happy? If you do know anyone like this, stay away from them. It's a stunt. A perverted stunt to catch you off guard and run you over.
And normal people, people of goodwill, don't do that.

I fired Tasca because he wouldn't retire when I asked hm to. I said "Charlie" you make alot of money, the citizens are bitch'n about the budget, if you retire early I can save about $120k a year and I'll win brownie points with fine people of Fitchburg. Well ya know what he said to me , the mayor? No can do Wong, I'll retire when I'm ready. Well ya know what? nobody tells me no, especially a man. So I told my bud the Chief to make up a few things and drag his name thruogh the mud and then I'll hire some investigater, pay him a few thousand dollars to say what I tell him and we'll get rid of Tasca. I knew in the end that Tasca would be reinstated and he would get his retirement but I just wanted the paying guys out, he didn't play ball so I played dirty, ah, I love politics. Sorry Lynch, I have no file on Tasca, but I do have the Pensky file, will that do? oh and by the way I am going to remove the No Parking sign infront of JR's, I can because I'm the mayor. And also I spoke with some FBI agents the other day and asked them about the so called investigation going in Fitchburg, they said that they will work on it as soon as they find who killed OJ Simpsons wife.

I have demonstrated to everyone just how much knowledge of the city that I have. I think I ran a pretty impressive campaign for not really trying and for only spending $600 of my free money. Let's assume a few more near brain dead rehabs are moved to Fitchburg and you double you previous vote total.
That's 154 votes. Nothing to write home about unless you are running for School Committee in Ashby.

Mayor, they wouldn't tell you anything about an investigation because you may be part of it! Mayor, you seem to forget about the meetings in the back room of a store on Main street? You know the one close to city hall that posted a sign for you? You had often madfe reference to JRs back then and then you told Lynch that you have had problems with the place for years and that you and others are working on squeezing them out? Then you encourage Lynch to go to the license commission.
