What a load of crap this statement is
"This will be the last year for Starburst at the Doyle Field Bowl -- it will move to the upper field adjacent to the stadium in 2011 because synthetic turf being installed at the stadium will not be able to handle that level of foot traffic or the fireworks launch."

The fireworks were never set off from the football field and to say pedestrian foot traffic will be harder on the turf than football players with cleated footwear is a load...

With no bleacher seating, even more limited parking, starburst will fizzle and die.. Too bad, it's a nice event

Sorry, but to donate money to a one day event like this when the Multi Service Center is closing due to lower donations and bad fundraising efforts is a joke.

Why don't they move it up to the field next to Donitelli's house on Lindell ave. He needed to re-live his high school football dreams by getting fake grass at Doyle so bad he helped tuck it to the residents of Leominster; so we should all return the favor! Let's have it on the Doyle Estate, because I am sure the Doyle family would have wanted it that way!

I thought the purpose of spending 800,000 for the new field was so events like this could be on the field. Now I read that the fantastic turf can't handle foot traffic??!!! What's going to happen when all the spors teams start using it? Is the city going to have to spend 800K every year to replace the field because of FOOT TRAFFIC by the sports teams? WAY TO GO City Council, you've bben duped again.
