You can continue to bash but most in the reality based world understand jobs growth falls way behind economic growth in a recovery, especially one as deep as the one we are attempting to get out of. The ARRA is responsible for at least starting that.

Easy to artificially increase some of the economic indicators by taking taxpayer money and giving it to SOME people to buy a car. Just more of the "transfer of wealth" that Obama is famous for.

Anyone can see that it is a magic trick type way of dealing with the problems, and at a cost to those of us that get no benefit from the programs.

It's easy to turn GDP growth from -6.5 to +3.5? I guess you should be leading the world economy with that kind of smarts. Why don't you tell us how easily you would fix unemployment right now, attach your paper and we'll go through it.
Why not address the first claim you made that Obama is responsible for the country's huge debt which I proved he wasn't?

If it's Magic that we are not falling into the great depression 2.0, then I'm a big fan of Magic!

Obama had NOTHING to do with the change in GDP growth! GDP growth was clipping along just fine until Democrats replaced Republicans several years ago. The Democrats were at the helm when the economy started its decline, and the only thing that they understand is to throw money at a situation, which is why Bush had to move forward with some of those decisions prior to being replaced.

You provided information that clearly shows that much of what Obama did was to continue with Bush's previous decisions, but will say it is Obama that is pulling it off. The truth is that the normal cycles within our economic situation is making its own correction the same under Obama as it would have under anyone else.

The decisions being made by Obama now will take a little while to show what they will do, so come back and tell me all about it in about 6 to 8 months. The only thing Obama is doing is creating fantastic debt that we will be dealing with in years to come.

Please do not vote for people that have no concept of what it takes to manage our city! I disagree with Mayor Wong on several things: I feel she chose the wrong person to lead our Police department, I disagree with her idea for institution of a trash fee, I am disappointed that she did not utilize the volunteer resources available to her in the city, I disagree with her thoughts regarding illegals, but she is the only QUALIFIED candidate for the position of mayor among our candidates.

Her choice for Police Chief Demouralize was a gamble. She shared a classroom with him at FSC and was hoping for the best. Sadly, it was a gamble that will never pay off. She would have been better off going to Foxwoods and picking someone out of the Bingo crowd.

After reading the first three posters, this is just what Fitchburg needs. A landlord who got his butt kicked the last time, with a reputation that reeks like garbage left in an Myrtle Ave apartment for a year, decides he's going to run again because a bunch of people are upset with Mayor Wong.

Yes, Mayor Wong has made some poor choices, but considering the times we are in (and the messes made by Mayor Mylott and his idol in Washington, George W.), ONLY A FOOL would believe that after 6 years of Mylott, and 8 years of George W., screwing the mix, that Mayor Wong was going to perform magic in Fitchburg.

HOWEVER, for the benefit of the undereducated, who are living in the abodes (or should I say rotting dumps) that Donnelly lives in (and I read hundreds of posts about his properties...), that he decides to join in the fray.

Whose next? Mark Louney? Give me a break people, all you people did for the past two years is gripe and scream about Mayor Wong, and NO REAL ANSWERS how to fund your pet peeve proposals. Just more of the same, Want more for less, and gripe and scream when the cuts HAVE TO BE MADE.

Said it before, and I will say it again...If you want more police, street lights etc, override is the ONLY ANSWER. If not, quit griping over the demise of your city.

Funny (actually not) how we bash business incentives, have a dual tax rate, while saying we need and want business to move into Fitchburg. If you really want businesses to move in, you need to do something to show them, not talk a game.
Keep the streets clean, safe, lit and offer a single tax rate. You need to address issues you can effect, not ask the impossible

As for the recovery in this country, a true recovery can only be led by private industry, not government. Government needs to get out of the way. Many wont admit it, but the housing and financial problems were created by government trying to mandate home ownership for people who could not afford it.

Maybe Donnelly will take enough votes away from Wong that Mike Voisine will win!!!
