Full story: The Indianapolis Star

The man spinning dough above his head behind a louvered window at the rear of the restaurant is Stefano himself -- Steven Enriquez, who was a manager of the former Cio's. Owner Steven Enriquez's homemade ...

What happened to Cio's? Did they close? The last time I was there, the service was horrible so I haven't been back since.

Same Cio's food, same chef, just under a different name/owner. Joe (previous owner) just decided it wasn't his thing, and Steven (aka Stefano) who helped it get set up to begin with stepped in & bought.

Have been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Service was a tad slow for us, but others seemed to be able to get in and out easily - must have been what we ordered. BUT the food is still SPECTACULAR!!! Dine-in or Carry-out - best Italian food anywhere!!

Love Stefanos! Been there twice! The service was slow the first time (understandable new and young staff) but great the 2nd time around- we even went on a Friday night.
Great lasagna!!!

We'd been to Cio's several times, and finally gave up. We loved the food, but the service was awful, and they were almost always out of some major items. We decided to go back and try it after the change-over to Stefano's, and were very pleasantly suprised that the menu was almost the same, actually even better, and that the service was MUCH improved. We've been there several times since. One Saturday night we went during a snow storm, and it was still absolutely jam-packed, which was great to see. Steven was making the rounds of the tables visiting with all the customers each time we were there -- a nice touch. Very personable guy. The garlic knot rolls are to-die-for, and the calzones are really good. My son and husband tried the pizza, and thought it was great, but I prefer Chicago-style, so I've been working my way through some of the other menu selections. Be sure to ask for your marinara on the side if you don't want the calzone to arrive soaking in it. The menu doesn't warn about this, so it was a surprise. Next time, on to the pastas!

I grew up in New York & Chicago so for me pizza is a bit of a lifestyle thing... after living in Indy for over 5 years finding authentic pizza in Indy was killing us!!!
I first went to Cio's a few years back and was pleasantly pleased! I even took several other friends in the Indy area to show them what "real pizza" not that Donato's & Noble Romans crud taste like. The service was in fact slow but it was definitely great food!
I have since returned to Chicago and am glad to hear that Stefano's is still serving up the real deal to everyone on the northside of Nap town!

The food is pretty good, but the service is horrible. I can't get the wife to go back. Too bad, I'd much rather patronize a locally owned establishment than a national chain.

Have you tried it since it changed to Stefano's? It's been our experience that service is much improved.

My husband and I were there one Sunday before they were to open. The door was open (not being sure if they were open) we went in.
It was great they sat us down and made us a pie that was to die for. Being from New York it is hard to find a pie that is this style and good. The crust is a little off (Indiana water). Fantastic....We will only eat pizza from this establishment.
Clean /Friendly / Good Service / excellent food/ good price.....Keep up the good work guys....Why not start a local franchise. We live on the far Southside and make the drive to Fishers. Bring good pizza our way.

Thanks!

The Pizza is the best since I left New York, others say it is NY, but Stefano's is the real deal. Open one up on the west side.

Best pizza we had in 7 years. My wife and I tried all these so called New york Pizza. Stefano's by far the real deal. Thank you, finally someone with great tasting food and Pizza. Ps. open one up on the west side. The drive is worth it, but be nice if you were closer.

This restaurant has evidently moved from Fishers to the Clarion Waterfront Motel on Crawfordsville Rd., just west of I-465. We didn't try the pizza, but totally enjoyed our lasagna and other dishes we had, and had good service.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Pisces

Mercury's retro phase in Capricorn will raise questions in your mind about a friend or loved one during the next two weeks. You might wonder what they're playing at and have to ask them to be straight with you, or you could work hard at overcoming the current problems between you so you're able to enter a much more positive phase in your relationship.
