I'll say it again...It's time to call in the FBI Counter-Terrorism Task Force and the National Guard to clean up this immigration/gang problem. Obviously, it is beyond the capability of regular law enforcement to handle. The time has come to stop being politically correct and deal with this situation realistically and effectively. These people, if here illegally, should have no rights in our country.
It is illegal to live in garages. It is illegal to shoot each other. Even though this behavior is occurring in a limited segment of society (at this time) the cost of medical care is a burden to taxpayers, many of whom have minimal if any health care coverage on themselves. The resentment this is causing is going to create another huge problem. I object to my tax dollars going to care for these criminals. It is amazing how they get the "free ride".

Susie Q,

As you must know, Salinas is an Agricultural community.

And just in case you don't know it, Salinas is a SANCTUARY CITY.

Illegals are welcomed and condoned by each and everyone of your City officials from Mayor to City Code Inspector.

They, all Salinas officials, allow, and put up with, all the problems you mentioned for the sake of "CHEAP"
Ag. labor costs.

Salinas is just one big labor camp in a continual 24/7 state of chaos.

It is what is. No one is going to fix it.

End of case !

I think the Sanctuary City concept is REALITY! Nothing is going to change until, we create machinery that will do the field work or we pay $5.00 for a head of lettuce.

You're already paying $5.00, maybe even more, per head of lettuce!

Think about it. Local and County taxpayers are paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars for chopper flights to San Jose and astronomical hospital bills for gang bangers. And the court costs and incarceration costs of the criminals and violence in Salinas. And the 13+ billion dollars annually the state hands out to the illegals for pre-natal care to section 8 housing. It's the local, County, and State taxpayers money that pays the tab.

UFW, LULAC, La Raza, the illegals, and pro-illegal politicians will fight against mechanical harvesting equip.

I think about us flying wounded Gang Bangers and who is financing the choppers. Maybe we should think about paying $7.50 a head. Whatever, we either pay a lot more and get rid of them, or live with the Cans. Mama and Papa are causing the majority of the problems, knowing they have murderers living in their house and remaining silent......I guess that is the way they want to live.....Canish

I don't hear any Mexicans coming forward and talking to the Parents of these punks. Advising them to turn in their Bangers, maybe they won't have to go to their funerals. Where are the spokespeople? I don't hear them....

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
