WOW LAW ENFORCEMENT IS WAYYYY BEHIND. WHEN I LIVED IN CENTRAL FLORIDA 5 YEARS AGO, THERE WERE NORTENOS OUT THERE WHO HAD MIGRATED FROM CALIFORNIA. ALL OVER POLK COUNTY I WOULD SEE THEIR TAGS, SOME OF THE TAGS HAD THE AREA CODE "831" ON THEM.

out of curiousity, i did some research. in truth, forget the central valley. they have moved far beyond California. try Toledo Ohio, Chicago suburbs in illinois, Elkhart Indiana where some of the members are from WATSONVILLE, theyre in Sarasota & Bradenton Florida, Tampa bay, HUGE NUMBERS IN NORCROSS/ATLANTA/TIFT COUNTY GEORGIA, Nampa Idaho, Yakima Washington, Greeley Colorado & Denver, Raleigh/Durham North Carolina,, LARGE NUMBERS IN Des Moines Iowa, Dodge city Kansas, and infact not long ago some Norteno rappers from the bay area and central valley flew out to Wichita Kansas and did a rap show for Norteno gangmembers out there, and there is a definite connection between Norteno rappers from Norcross and Tift County Georgia and Nampa Idaho and Norteno rappers from the bay area & central valley, possibly the 831. theyve spread nationwide now. law enforcement needs to make a nationwide gang task force and share info, so if nortenos from california get arrested or detained by authorities in georgia , florida or any other state, the task force members back here in california would know about it.

The California Department of Corrections did not think it was going to get this big when they created it back in the 60's.

having grown up in a bad neighborhood when i was young, i have to say that law enforcement misses the mark when it comes to taking down these scumbags. ya you can go out and arrest them, and all youre doing is giving them bigger numbers in prison where they aspire to go to anyways, and meanwhile they continue to recruit on the outside so nothing really changes. they need to target the source, and its not the gang, its the family at home. these kids turn to the streets when the family structure at home is weak or unsupportive. so heres a few steps that should be taken

if a kid gets arrested for any felony crime, or a misdemeanor where its tied to gangs, the parents get arrested for child endangerment and face mandatory jail time unless they leave the state. i believe that when the parents are the ones who have something to lose, it will force them to be parents who are involved in their kids lives.

i also believe an effective tool would be to allow local and state law enforcement agencies to sue gang members or the parents of juvenile members in civil court to recoup any tax payer money used to investigate their crimes, and to be allowed to seize the homes, cars and bank accounts of those people in order to satisfy any lawsuit

and we hear about drive-bys alot , so it made me think of the fact that drivers licenses are a "privledge", not a right, so i believe that the DMV needs to be involved and revoke all the drivers licenses of all known gang members and gang affliates, and not issue any more licenses to any of those that are on a statewide gang database, and revoke the license of anyone found to be driving gang members around after being pulled over. it would mean those involved in gangs would NEVER be allowed to drive in california, and could only have that privledge restored after giving 1 year of full cooperation with law enforcement.

and why are these gangsters allowed to bail out? it should be NO BAIL, NO EARLY RELEASE, NO HOUSE ARREST, NO PAROLE OR PROBATION. PERIOD.

or better yet, how bout make it a felony crime to hire or solicit any labor from illegals. then a huge portion of mexicans, salvadorians and other latinos would leave the state, thus reducing gang crime. in addition, it would open up job opportunities for americans, take the burden off of our schools and health care system, reduce our insurance rates and thus helping the state budget

and for god sakes, DEPORT DEPORT DEPORT

I think we have found the solution. It would re-define the meaning of "mexican food."

I have been advocating making the parents/families of minors arrested for gang-related violence responsible not only financially, as you suggest, but also to be checked for legal status. If illegal, the whole family should be shipped to a holding area for deportation. As for the driver's license, I support revoking the licenses of all known gang members and gang affliates. Unfortunately, revoking these privileges will not prevent them from continuing to drive. Obviously, criminals don't obey the law.

I think that is a good idea...some of the kids are learning this behavior in their own home...If children are not taught wrong from right in the home what do you expect the police agencies to do...This needs to start at home, as you can see the kids that are killing are getting younger and younger...

Mexicans, Salvadorians, and other latinos are Americans. Go to school and you will learn that America reaches from Argentina all the way to Alaska.

Sorry Dan, this man is fed up with Mexican crime and so are a lot of other people. I see a movement beginning. These Mexicans have abused us and our systems long enough. There are good Americans and bad Americans, we need to get rid of the bad Americans, starting NOW! WE have had it! Civil war?? Things are getting serious and it been a long time coming...
