School board fires accused teacher

Being a former baseball player with this creep, it doesnt surprise an of us that this happened. He was a weirdo from day one!

If this teacher was a weirdo from day 1, why was his odd behavior not reported immediately? What was so odd about his behavior? How old were you? We've had our share of creepy teachers males and females here in Houston, a lot of these weirdos have been terminated and sent to the slammer. This is so sad for the children's sake. How do these creeps manage to fall through the cracks when they fill out a resume?

He may have been creepy but not in that way.. he was my teacher and yes it was reported many times that him and brittany were having a relationship and he did get talked to but i am going to his court and im on his side because you have to no the situation at hand .. it was all brittanys fault she was the one that persued him.. everyday between classes during classes she wouldnt leave him alone. And her dad is the biggest creep/slim-bag/all he wants is money and he dont care if he has to hurt his daughter/hypocondriac so if you were from my school and you saw what was going on then you would be on his side also.

Wow! Finley! I am so glad that you came out with the truth! I believe you! Some of these little girls are terrible! I have known of a handful of very young girls throwing themelves at these older guys! A man is going to be a man, no matter what, but the law sees things in a different way! Are you trying to tell me that the dad knew how bad and trashy his little girl turned out to be, but all he wanted was money? It could be that this little girl comes from a real bad home! If that's the case, good luck to your teacher friend!

The press only gives all of us one side of the story. Only knowing what the paper tells us this person sounds horrible, however is every teenage girl you know a very sweet, honest, honorable girl? Manipulation can be brought upon both ways.

people need to start being responsible for their own actions. We can't just go around blaming everyone; saying that someone else "corrupted" me. Make the student stand up for her own actions and decisions.

To Finley Sharon Alumni - You seem to have first hand knowledge of the situation - maybe you should contact the teacher or his attorney (if he has one) and offer your knowledge and assistance. From what I understand the teacher was just trying to help her move out of an abusive home and once her parents found out that is when the allegations started.

This is a teacher!! He crossed the line no matter what. If he was a mature male he would have gotten her help as a professional teacher. These girls in her class are in a click -- like any place else in this world. She has a good family. Her mother and father have a right to stand up for what they know is the law in this country. To the other Finley girl are you a bit taken back that the attention wasn't given to you??

How do you know what line he crossed? From the finly alum that wrote in it dosn't talk about a line being crossed. How do you know what help he seeked for her, sometimes you can only do so much for someone. Could it be that this family is mad at this teacher because he brought the families issues forward? That would be enough to make any parents angry. Could this be a payback? As Minnesota said lets not blame everyone else for our own problems. And don't speak of somthing you don't know, Innocent until proven guilty.

North Dakota, are you insane. How do you know this girl had a good family. It is because of people like you, that girls like finley alum. wouldn't come forth with the truth. Unless you were there and know firthand (which unless you were the 2 involved is very hard to say) shut your mouth about what lines were crossed, and how good the family was. You have no idea what happend. good job USA for letting North Dakota that asuming isn't okay.

I like to follow the news, and this story has interested me. However the news clips, and articles I have read on this subject have all been very cryptic. What I want to know is What evidence is there that supports what he is being accused of? Is there any? I am always confused with cases like this (there are so many of them these days). I just would like to know why he is being accused of these things? I wish we were all given more information so that people could come to the "right" conclusions. Either I wish we could all know the entire story, or nothing at all so that innocent people would be able to keep their good names; and not have people come to the wrong conclusions. It will be very interesting to see how this all turns out. What ever is right I hope that is what comes of this.

I agree with the other person who posted on here. I hope you followed the person's advise and have spoken up to the right people. It sounds like your information can really be useful.

Stories like this annoy me a lot because i don't think any human being really needs sexual connections with anyone, it's a mind over matter situation. I'm 17 years old and i can control my sexual desires. how can a man meant to be an adult not do the same?

and we live in a world where women want to be treated normally, so we are meant to believe this man is a pervert and she is just a wee-little exploited girl. Truth is both people are scum, the girl for toying with a man's mind and the man for not being able to tell wrong from right and not acting like a adult.

Yes, he should go to jail, which he did. He served his punishment. BUT IT WASN'T COMPLETELY HIS FAULT. And the girl he slept w/, Brittany, did not have a good family. The reason she went after this teacher in the first place was because of two things, her family and her recent break up. I KNOW that they both were to blame. I was one of her closest friends during the relationship, and although it was obvious to everyone around them because of her behavior, they both insisted upon denying it. Anyone that wasn't in that school during the year of what happened has NO RIGHT AT ALL to think that their opinion on them matters. YOU ALL DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

coming from the same school i knew the both of them pretty well.i always knew she had a problem with her father.i dont think she was looking to him for safety.they both are to blame and he got what he deserved.their actions were closely monitored and he was asked numerous times about the situation.com ing from a small school its not easy to hide a relationship like that.everyone had their suspicions.its just really sad that he wasted all that college education.im not sure on the whole "her father got mad when they found out" thing.some people say her parents knew all along.i dont think hes a creep at all.i just think that he got mixed into something that he never should have.i guess the world will always wonder what exactly went on....
