It's because Franken is a complete rambling village idiot and Klobuchar at least thinks before she speaks.

Not much more.

If anything will destroy Minnesota's health care system, it will be allowing people from other states with worse systems buy low-cost insurance in Minnesota and then start making high-cost claims on Minnesota insurers. Who the blazes does he think is going to pay those higher costs? Duh, Minnesota premium payers' premiums will be raised to make the difference, sending more Minnesotans to the public option, and leaving the rest to pay the price for bad health care systems in other states.
Stop trying to impress the Glenn Beck extremist wingnuts, timmy, they're not going to be your friends.

I remain hopeful the Senators won't let our president and the party down like they did when they opposed taxes on medical devices. If they're going to vote with the Repubs on everything from now on like Joe LIEbermann (R-CON), maybe they shouldn't caucus with the real Democrats. Take away staff and give them offices in a broom closet until they see the light. Come on Amy and Al, health care is a constitutional right, end of discussion.

Perhaps Amy knows the public option is simply more public debt, in a time of record deficits when we are selling that debt to countries that are not our true ally just to mantain.

Leftards are such idiots sometimes. Like believing health care (a service being provided) is a contitutional right.

Franken like Obama, is in over his head. I'm really ashamed that citizens voted him in. They are both extreme liberals when what this country needed was a conservative democrat to run the country. Clinton was a conservative democrat who had a conservative congress so they balanced each other out and it worked well for us citizens. Clinton had the audacity to sign legislation which reformed welfare. Bush had a republican congress and they all spent $$$ like drunken sailors but kept us safe. The last couple years of Bush we had a democrat congress interested only in the next presidential election and trashing Bush. Now we have one party controlling all of congress again. Bad news people. We have to have a balance between the 2 parties so they don't destroy us. Most of us are in the middle between dems and repubs. We like some things and dislike some things about both parties. Absent a 3rd viable party, I will vote against the party in control for the next 30 years I have left. I still cannot say that either party has helped me, and other than the anti hunting gun nuts on the left, neither of them seem poised to harm me. My 401k has went up and down with both parties in office. Bottom line is this, if you don't offer much $ in campaign contributions or lead a union or run a large company, or are the offspring of a lobbyist, the govt. won't listen to you. It is the extremists in either party who lack common sense and need to go.
yeah sure

Felix, Franken is among the growing numbers of people in this nation that believe the state has all the answers to life's problems.

The coming years should be extremely telling as cities, counties and states are force to make tough economic decision or increase taxes to keep their spending.

On the other hand, the Feds have an unlimited check book (Treasury Bonds purchase with the help of the Fed Reserve) it will be interesting to see how high gov't spending can get as a % of GDP. Logically, it has to come to a conclusion as either the whole thing collapses or rampant inflation takes over and I am using a $100 to buy a gallon of milk..

I just wonder..........

What I am saying is that those are not Franken's ideas. He is an idiot puppet for Soros, moveon.org , etc. They are the ones with socialist ideas for this country. Franken just wants the job and prestige of a senator.

Plus, she's up for re-election in 2012 and Franken isn't.

She knows the people don't want this and she wants to keep her job.

Let's get these "bluedogs"(those partially bought by industry and fanatical religions) on board...if rate reform is the key...why not ask Pelosi and Reid to include the reform as part of the deal...not many good arguments in favor of paying CA and FL more than MN!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aries

Someone wants to go their own way today and they won't care whose feathers they ruffle in the process. It's a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Cancer, so let them get on with it. The last thing you should do now is to hang on to their coat-tails or do anything else that will make them feel restricted. Make it plain that you've got your own fish to fry, thank you very much. And try not to let it stop you enjoying yourself. Have a great night!
