Review: Sky Towing & Recovery

Think twice before you call this company, because they will find a way to screw you over. They will leave you stranded on the side of the highway or where ever you are. They will squeeze every dime they can from you, even if you do not have it. And don't even attempt to work for the company either. They do ANYTHING to screw anybody over. they will use your s.s.# against you, put warrant out on you just to screw your life over, and will even illegaly put a stop payment on the last check that you actually recieve!

This is not the first time I have heard these and similar comments...
Many people I have talked to have had the same experience.

Ex-employee who cleaned us out for a generator, playstation and cash!!! Then fled to Missouri, damn right I put out a warrant for him. Payback time.

I'm also a X worker for sky towing. Doug even told me he owes me over $ 500.00 Dollars but his wife said he will not pay me. So I guess what goes around come around, I needed the monies owed to me but I guess she and doug needed it more to keep up the front to the day care and the school for the kids and keep screwing every body. Doug will stand and lie to your face. He said he was a big man and was going to teach me something. well I guess he did teach me he lies and steals not only from the public but from his workers. Ask him why he no longer tows for Nassau County Sheriff's Office,Fernandina Beach Police and Camden county Sheriff's Office, Camden County, Ga.At least I see both of them got repo License Number before the state caught them for repoing cars . OPPS I mean stealing cars..

I used to work for doug and stacey at sky towing.
These people need to learn to practice what they preach;remember their article on bussiness ethics.
They will screw you over every chance they get.While you are working for them they find anything to take money out of your paycheck.And then when you get tired of it and quit they go around bad mouthing you to anybody who will listen.They say that you stole money and damaged cars.What i want to know is if all your employees
are like this then why do you not fire them?Instead they wait for you to quit so they can harass the hell out of you.Here are just some of the things that they have done to me.They have tried to get me fired from my job,harassed my wife at work to the point of calling her boss and lying about things to try and get her fired,have lied to my wife about things to try to split us up,and other things that i cannot mention because of a case i have pending against them.

it's amazing how so many people around nassau AND camden have the same thing to say! all the stories are similar. doug should get a hint. by the way what about the stories of why he left from up north????

What's the story from up north???

That's my question too! The "story" I've heard is he was run out of town! Had problems with a partner and others! That's why I ask, "what about the stories of why he left from up north???? "

I just BET lil doug or stacy will comment about this one. You dont go on vacation and then just say hey let's move there and see how long it takes to get run off this time.....

i don't know, that question has been hanging here for several days now with NO response! must be true!!!!!!

I have used Sky Towing at least 4 times over the past years and have always been very satisfied!

If you are satisfied with them, by all means use them. There are many people who are not. Many people I have personally spoke with have had problems with their "bait & switch" type practices.

When I inquired about a job with them a while back they wanted me to take the truck home. That is understood but i lived in the city of Kingsland and it is against the city ordinances to have a commercial truck at your house unless it is not visible from the street. I informed them of that and their response was... Other drivers take them home. They could care less if you would get in trouble.
They wanted me to be on call 24/7 for $350 a week. Sorry but that is not near enough. I was making more than that working part time getting paid by the run with another company, and i didn't have to take the truck home

The story of up North is a simple one Doug and Stacy wanted to live somewhere else. I know this for a fact, there is no great conspiracy just a simple change of address.

So are you saying his business practices where they lived were different from here? I am guessing yes if they left voluntarily.
