I lived in Brogue all my youth, which is probably why I'm "special" (LOL :) but you are correct in the fact that between stores and these horrible treeless housing developments going up all over the place (that will be slowed down for now, but will return sometime within the next 5 or 10 years). Some of what Rutter's has done is good (take for instance the Collinsville Discount Center) and some have been bad and take up corner lots like banks etc.(getting old after awhile). But people will smile in the adversity of being able to get smokes and milk by just popping around the corner and "POOF" there it is the mage Sheetz and mega Rutter's etc. etc. etc. it's a path that will never end.......... I do however wish they would put up and raise up some much needed money for some great projects to save places that are falling to pieces and going to the wayside.......and the sorry fact is I suppose that trend will not anytime soon either..........Keep warm there in York County, it's raining like cats and dogs today and it was almost 100 degrees yesterday!!!

Jasper wrote: <quoted text> You’re a joke your worried about the miss spelling of one word and you don't even know what railroad were talking and as you said you’re one of the "younger generation I’m not impressed. Not quite sure I understand your post, but whatever, I could care less if you think i'm a "joke" or not; personally I'd rather be able to spell properly (seriously, the words that you're spelling wrong--my 6th grade cousin can spell with no problem--the real joke here is you), and have a semi-intelligent opinion, rather than just sit here and talk shit on the town I grew up in. If you didn't grow up here to begin with, you really have no say in any of this anyway. Go back to school, get your GED, and then come back and talk.

No, the 6th grader I'm referring to is the same age as all other 6th graders...but your "original" jokes are funny to laugh at--almost as much so as you. The main point I was trying to make, which you obviously missed, is that you really shouldn't try to find fault & pick on something, unless you can sound intelligent doing so (which you obviously failed to do). Otherwise, as I'm sure you know by now, you just come off sounding reallllly uneducated :)

UR Screwing With Me wrote: From the looks of some of those buildings downtown, maybe they better try to save Stewartstown first and the Railroad Second. The buildings in town that look bad ie: movie theater are OWNED by residents that will not put any time, money, or effort into remodeling. This is not the case for the railroad. Two different subjects entirely.
