Take a look, my favorite lines are:In 2002, a Summersville woman told the Gazette that then-Summersville officers Heath A. and L. Shawn Whipkey were suspended after city officials learned both officers engaged in inappropriate behavior with her in a police car.

At the time, the Whipkey brothers were the most active members of the Summersville Police Department in writing tickets, especially speeding tickets on U.S. 19. In 2002, Sean Whipkey wrote 3,908 tickets while Heath Whipkey wrote 3,229 tickets - nearly 40 percent of the 18,133 traffic tickets written by 20 police officers.

Both have worked as police officers in Gauley Bridge since March 12, 2003. The Gazette has received numerous complaints of excessive ticketing there.

DIRTY COPS SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO WORK IN THIS STATE. GET RID OF ALL OF THEM. They give the good ones a bad name and make their work that much harder

Since the paper won't print any stories on them this could be a great place to expose them.

Please read the first post to this topic. The Charleston Gazette pretty much said it out loud. I hope this means something good is about to happen. I mean good for the citizens and drama loving folks....

come out of your hollar and look around....it would be some kind of news paper if some of you guys were writers...all the speculation and hear say...haha...guess there has never been a criminal arrested and prosecuted in fayette county...dont get me wrong some things are bad in this county...but it doesnt start with the cops...what about the bad doctors..the horrible education..the lack of progress and jobs..then your cops get to deal with the result...about 110 cops 3 shifts 7 days a week 8 jurisdictions and about 55,000 citizens..almost 700 square miles..wow no wonder they haven't talked to my pill selling neighbor who didn't graduate high school and has a prescription from a doc..

Anyone catch the 2 part article in the Gazette by Gary Harki?
It's about these handful of over glorified hall monitors gone bad, and what Sen. Bill Laird wants to do about them

I've heard they are dirty too, but who cares, don't speed and you wont have to worry about getting a ticket. It's that simple.

Absolutely ridiculous! The Whipkey Bros are still employed! Several years ago they harrassed me...would pull me over "for speeding" when I wasn't! The only problem was, they didn't see the person in the car with me; therefore couldn't "try" anything! Thank God! They should've NEVER been rehired! But we see that going on ALL the time in Fayette Co! SOOOO MANY COVERUPS!!!!!!!!!!

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Taurus

It's important that you keep that famous bull-headedness in check over the next couple of weeks. Be cool, calm and sensible and you'll find that you end up with things correctly and tidily done. Stick to the straight and narrow, no matter what the distractions or irritations around you. If you think outside the square, you'll begin to see how visualisation can change and shape your life. Trust your hunches and be ready to move on them.
