what is the thoughts on our county's sheriff's dept. I think they are making good headway.

sorry for the delay...i know they have hired more deputies and i have seen them more in the rural parts of the county...probably because the levy is coming up for a vote no doubt....i wish i had flashing lights on my truck....then i would have good health insurance and could do whatever i wanted

One only has to read the newspapers and watch the news on TV to be aware of the great job the Sheriff's Department Deputies do. They have a difficult job and should be shown more respect.

The problem with law enforcement these days is they seem to all have a chip on their shoulder. They should get out and speak to the locals, see what is troubling them. Speak to people and learn where the drugs are, where the crime is.

Instead they tend to hang in their cars, target speeders (for an easy buck)and walk around trying to intimidate people or hit on married women.

No not just married women. Single,divorced,fat,skinny. All while earning that hard earned pay. I know I'm married to one.

Who is that real fat deputy working the valley who drives the black truck why does he need that, thats a waste of the tax payers dollars.The Sheriff need to put him on a diet he looks terrible. The deputies have most definately gone down hill, other agencies dont look like that.The people of fayette county dont need a fat cop riding around in a 45,000 dollar truck this is ridiculous.

The town of Fayetteville has been a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah for a long time now. Just remember what God did to the Biblical cities, he can and will do it again.

Fayetteville? Sodom and Gomorrah? I've lived here all my life. Am I missing something? I'll be the first to say there is plenty of stuff going on with town officials but I don't keep my head in the sand and I sure don't see the town people in that category.

try living in Pax with all the pill heads, sheriff dept is useless, call them, they dont care, and same with town officials here also, city and county property being used for personal use
