Can anyone tell me anything about the Catfish Hole Restaurant in Fayetteville? I worked there for 6 years and I'm wondering how they're doing. Any changes in the food? Staff? The owners?

Charity, it is nice to hear from you. This is Jennifer, yes your ever so loved co-worker.
Let me tell you, I was going on vacation to Branson and stopped by to see Mom for her birthday on August 1, 2006. Well, you know me, if I even go near Catfish Hole in Fayetteville that is where I am eating. I ate so much I was sick. But I only get to eat there every six months or so I have to do it every time. And you will not be disappointed. The food is just as good. I ate fillets, catfish steaks, fried shrimp, scallops, couple clams (they were never my favorite but the girls love them), crab legs, steak, pups, and pups and pups, slaw, relish, pickles, onions, fries (i love those homemade fries). I was so sick afterwards, but I could not help it. I had to try everything on the table just to make sure it was all still great. And it was!!! You would think after waiting tables there for 6 days a week for 6 years we would get tired of that food. I WILL NEVER. Right now I am thinking about calling them and asking them to fedex some here. I wish that would work!! That was probably the best days of my life. The worse part of it was the cleanup. OMG they sure expect that place squeeky clean. But I really didnt mind it too much I guess, just made it ok for me to eat there. And I hear they still do all that major cleanup. I even peaked at the baseboards for crumbs. There were not any. Pat was still there in his fish shirt. I saw some new waitstaff but the cooks were all still there basically. And of course Marsha and Janie and Janie were still there too. We need to get a reunion in the making for Christmas timeframe? See you there. By the way, already planning a trip there again in September for a wedding.... I will eat a fillet for ya. |

Nothing wrong with being 30 and single but I'm not sure about fishing too much, just find you a good woman to take with you!! And as for getting booted offline, try getting the net through your cable company, I have it at home (I'm at work right now) and I love it. You'll never have to worry about getting booted off or slow downloads and I only pay about 40 bucks a month for mine. Good luck Mr. Jim! |
||||
OK, thanks Charity of Durham.You said there was nothing wrong with being 30 & single and taking a good & pretty woman with me while I go camp out and Catfish.The cable idea sounds great, but I cannot get cable out here in the desert country around the Great Salt Plains Lake,Oklahoma Territory. Hey Charity, thanks my Durham Friend, I will tell Pat Gazzola that you and Jennifer of Collierville reccomended the Catfish Hole.I gotta go post this fore I get booted off again. Bye bye, so long for now. Just call me Jim, Charity. Respectfully, Catfish Jim Griffin Jet,Oklahoma |

You sure you're not in new york there Jim? I do have some friends that like to play jokes on me from time to time.... |

Hey,Hey Good Lookin' Charity of Raleigh-Durham. No,No Sweetie Honey, I am not in New York City. I am in Jet,Oklahoma, NW of Okie City and Enid,Okla.Jet is a few miles south of Caldwell,Kansas. My ISP (internet service provider) secretly put that NYC addy connected to my name. I have no earthly idea how or why this happened to me. Bad things DO HAPPEN to good people. I am sorry about the un-intended confusion.Thanks Charity Doll. Sincerely Catfish Jim Griffin Jet,Oklahoma ps: my ISP (service provider) sucks BIG TIME ! |

Well good mornin' there Mr. Jim! I'd absolutely love to go with you to the Hole this weekend but an 18 hour drive is a little far for me to go, even for the great food there. Also, I had a root canal done yesterday so I'm not sure my poor mouth can handle it but maybe next time. You head that way and let me know what ya think, ok? |
||||
Hey Sweet Charity of Raleigh-Durham,N>C> I hope your mouth is all better now. Are you still there ? Let me know real soon now. OK, Thanks bye 4 now Handsome Catfish Jim Griffin Great Salt Plains Lake Jet, Oklahoma USA |

Recently visited AR and Catfish Hole with friends. We are from Oregon and Washington checking out the Art/Craft Festivals. Had a great time and enjoyed the meal. Would love to find out about the pickles served with the meal and if there is a recipe available. Think it had mild peppers in it also. Anyone know about this? Thanks Vistor from Walla Walla, WA

I have worked at the Catfish Hole in Alma, AR for 20+ years - Pat and Janie bought the Alma restaurant in 1993 and then built the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville. They have just built a new building and the Alma restaurant now has the Fayetteville menu. The Alma restaurant is located at 25 Column Lane, Alma, AR (just a few blocks from I-40). The Catfish Hole Alma was opened December 1982, and has been going strong since. I love working at Catfish Hole, but I love the customers even more. The food has always been GREAT! My family ate there at least once per week since 1984. I was so excited to become an employee in late 1985. |
