Who do you support for Attorney General in Michigan in 2010?

I will be voting for Schuette, why don't you have that option on here to vote? He's the only decent one running. Great experience and has several endorsements.

There are 2 other candidates you haven't listed. Can't handle the truth? You place a Libertarian and some one with no bio to even reference. Quit rigging this to your advantage. If you wanted an honest view and poll you would correct this. Like typical uninformed cattle, you attempt give name recognition to a bunch of wannabees who are clueless regarding the law. To each is own.
There is some positions where it's helpful to have experience. I would hope voters in Michigan realize exactly what the ATTORNEY GENERAL does in representing us.

Leyton is the "king of plea deals" and a "cherry picker" He is not even endorsed by the Prosecuters Assoc. of which I believe he is vice-chair. I am be wrong.

Atleast Schuette has experience in both the private and political sector. Sounds well balanced to me.

Leyton accused Schuette of being a "career" politician, when asked if that was necessarily a bad thing in this position, Leyton choked, and back paddled. He was lousy in the debate and kept repeating the years he was prosecuter and how many cases he "won". According to him, we should not be fighting the health-care bill, the plea would be withdrawn. I am sure he would also remove our joint effort to uphold the AZ1070 Law. We are a border state.

Leyton is a typical party line Democrat... Michigan needs to continue with other states to fight Obamacare..As I listened to his interview with Frank this morning on WJR he seemed a bit hesitant but then admitted he would not continue the fight to repeal obamacare but then stated clearly he would pull Michigan out of the fight...I think you are right about AZ1070...

No way would I vote for Schuette. He voted for the "Good Faith Exception" which effectively would allow police to raid virtually anybody without a warrant, a blatant unconstitutional attack on civil liberties. That's what Schuette supported as Congressman--think of what he'd support as AG.

Don't let this guy any where near the AG office if you at all value your Constitutional protections.

Do you have something to hide? A police already has what they think is a valid warrant or reason to search, and you think that if they find a some let's say dead body in the trunk of a car, the criminal should get off because the warrant wasn't issued correctly? As for Leyton.."King of plea deals" lets those very criminals off. You talk about "constitutional protection", I am all for it, but if the officer is acting on what he believes to believe within the law and finds evidence, I want ACTUAL LIFE Protection that a creep doesn't walk out of jail to do the same. Trust me, I am dealing with a person who just got off on a technicality because a assistant prosecuter messed up.

I'd vote for an independent but let's face it...with the 'two party' mentality an independent has little chance of winning, sadly...so, in order to ensure a dem doesn't get in I'll be voting republican.

Honest man. Still do not know what Shuette wants to be. How many retirements has he had from state offices, and what is his total retirement from being a state representative, a judge and whatever else, He had 4 state jobs so for maybe.

"Retirements"? You know there are things called elections where the voters decide whom to employ for certain positions and for how long. That when you are "tapped" for another important position, you resign from your current one for the greater good. That you have to resign in order to run for a higher office. Do you understand just how the election process works? A good representative of MI in the Attorney General position, especially with respects to the charity he started and the others he is involved with.

Michigan Association of Police Orginizations, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Retailers Association. Southeastern Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, Small Business Assoc. of MI, countless Prosecutors across the state (I mean too many to print), and so many law enforsement agencies it would take up even more space than I have, all endorse Schuette.

I looked on Leyton's site that says Justice for Prosperity, but almost all business associations are endorsing Schuette. Also, how is it Leyton is Secretary-Treasure of the Prosecuting Attorneys of Michigan Association, yet so many Prosecuting Attorneys have ENDORSED Schuette? I only ask this because I saw the debate where he brought up he was on the board of this organization several times.
