And? Schools have rules. Follow them or go to a country that better suits you. Why does a 12-year-old need her nose pierced anyway? My parents would've killed me!

My school had rules. We could wear one small stud per ear, no hanging earrings, no large earrings, only one per ear, no double, tripe, etc. pierced ears, and no other items pierced (to include nose, tongue, mouth, and so on). And <gasp> we all followed those rules!

This father was born in India and he says people *think* he's an immigrant? Uhhhh...he is! He was not born here! And, perhaps getting rid of the turban would be a good idea. Be American!

amazing ths shit can be used to push nose piercing in our faces... but the first time they drive past a nativity scene during christmas, we need legislation banning all forms of display.

Why does America have to bend over to accomodate all the world's cultures here, AT THE EXPENSE OF SAFETY? Our public schools have this policy to avoid gang-wear. Why doesn't this family compromise, like reasonable adults? Aren't they aware of gangs? Let the child wear the nose ring when at home, but remove it for school. The child spends more hours in the home anyway; so what's the big deal to them? What would they say if their child was killed on school grounds coz some Columbine crazy singled her out as a gangmember? I betcha they'd sue the school.

Trying to make a cultural statement? Fine! DO IT ON YOUR OWN TIME, NOT SCHOOLTIME. School is for learning, not for "making cultural or political statements."

Child Services should rip their kids from them since they are exposing their kids to danger. Stupid parents.

Go back to India. Over breeding fools.

Well, here's a novel idea: if they cannot adjust, they can (and should) tell the US Department of State "NO! I'm not moving!" -- how stupid to agree and then complain about adjusting.

True, but immigrants of the past assimilated, and respected America and her citizenry. They blended in, rather than choosing to stand out in a crowd. They chose to embrace their cultures at home while never trying to push it onto Americans...they contributed, they didn't steal and then whine when they couldn't steal enough to suit their avaricious needs.
