Duh! Do you think? I surmise that there more meth labs in those areas that law enforcement are aware of. How long does it take for them to do something? An explosion with kids in the area?

I'm sick and tired of you people, knocking us folks who do meth daily. We are ordinary citizens, who take our locally manufactured medication and do no harm to others. I'm hoping that choco man Obama passes the medical bill,so i can git my teeth fixed up goodly. My other oilfield constituents feel the same way too.

Meth lab in SJC and no others in 5 years how sad is that the hole 4 corners has a big problem with meth and in the SJC you have not busted anyone in 5 years for a meth lab I say your not doing a very good job.

What caught my eye is "how do you get IN Crouch Mesa? Come on Daily Times...maybe ON Croch Mesa?
And how come I can spot a "tweeker" a mile away and the cops can not? Very few of 'em deal at Dunkin Dounuts anymore.......What we need is MORE cops....funny. I suspresed that the paper didn't say they found a little Pot along with the Meth. God knows Meth dealers give Pot a bad name. I am all in favior of shootin' Meth dealers on the spot. However, with your economy like it is, it is just another Cottage Industry.

What are doing about it. Are you participating an any youth meth prevention activities or local citizen action groups?

Why don't you go become a police office and save the world.

Lets just throught out every rights so the police can search any car and house because of a some methheads, is that you want.

Citizens need to report activity and RELATIVES (these people do have relatives) to the police. I think that they try to avoid the police.

I agree totally, come on Meth is everywhere, in almost every teenager, and even some old people, that should have more sence. But as I have stated before, I think either the cops are scared of the gangs around here or they are in with the drug dealers trying to make a few extra bucks for themselves. Something major needs to be done, with the drug problem around here.

OH no not on crouch mesa thats been a tweaker haven since people started moving up there.WHAT IS NEW ABOUT THIS? And your right im surprised that they didnt use this golden opurtunity to demonize marijuana.Wasnt it a govt that invented tweak? God made pot? Its obvious the right thing to do in this case is legalize meth and keep weed illegal. That way the SJC sherrifs dept in my opinion can continue its use.

Be careful what you may wish for,you may find those involved you didnt want to such as a morman maybe? It has been precedented in sjc, that law enforcement may in fact be involved.A tactic in use by the citizens elsewhere is to report a known tweaker location,in you local rants and raves section of craigslist. This is very effective for many reason ,cops cant ignore or no longer participate,i would only state that its your opinion that something may be going on in a general location, never give exact adress but street and numbers range is fine. Its probably unnerving if your a little gangsta homie from mexico when you hear your meth lab just got publicaly notified.Lets the neighbors know also.Notifies all agencies because the govt at all levels has people reading the internet, the detectives comb these sections for info. Just anothyer way to keep cops honest and they cant say no one informed them.At this point it is questionable when its obvious easy to find a tweaker and they cant find a meth lab? When common sense says theirs probably at least 20.Be ruthless with the little gangbangers report them every time ya can. The little gangbangers think they are part of the la raza movement so keep that in miond when your feeling lazy about whether to report them for skulking in the shadows just do it the more contact with cops the more go to jail.

Meth labs are a thing of the past. It is almost impossible to get enough pruedo-efedren (Sudafed)to cook meth. All of the local Meth is coming in from Mexico, it is of better quality than you can possibly create in a local lab.

people, people, people. Yes, meth USERS are everywhere in San Juan County. That's not the issue. If any of you would take 10 seconds to read-up on meth, you'd learn that the meth in the U.S. comes from Mexico "super-labs." The meth is manufactured in warehouses, and brought to the U.S. The average mom-and-pop-shop meth lab in the U.S. is becoming rare because of the existence of the super-labs. So, to say that there hasn't been a meth LAB bust in San Juan County doesn't mean there haven't been METH DEALER busts in San Juan County.

Well, well, well, why don't we just legalize Marijuana and then meth would not be so prevelent. I made this comment years ago in Colorado and actually had people from Dept of Corrections there to tell me, privately, that they agreed.
Marijuana never killed anyone that I know of but meth has. So has alcohol and it is certainly legal.

Technically- Meth is a Schedule II drug. Cannabis a Schedule I drug right up there with heroin. Meth and variations of Meth are legally prescribed to a lot of people in this country.

Also, why don't the cops pull someone in who's tweaking? Because, as long as they aren't causing a public nuisance or hurting anyone they really can't do anything. Cops do not prevent crimes, they investigate, gather evidence and arrest people for crimes that are already committed.

Just because people put cops up on a big pedestal and call them heroes doesn't mean they actually are.

And yes, they came up with the idea of restricting sales of pseudoephedrine , they may as well had write the cartels a blank check.

On the otherhand, maybe they'll all read the sad stories written in thousands of papers a day, attend a DARE meeting and all quit. There's the answer, not likely, nut it's an answer.

Now if Superman would just come along and MAKE everyone quit.

The only reason it said the first one in 5 years, is to cover up that the police would let certain tweekers to do this, so they can follow the trail. Must be a form of human entertainment.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
