My condolences go out to these victims families, I know its hard to deal with loss this way. I do have one comment though, these teenagers and young adults are completely out of control. I am not judging BUT how can you say to have compassion on someone who has no regard for human life and the consequences that they bring to a victims family. If the situation was turned around these predators would be mourned by their families and they would be speaking out about it. Parents need to go back to parenting instead of trying to be their kids friend.

I know my family will be paying the taxes for these skumbags to spend the rest of their lives in prisons. I know my family will be paying for their rotten culture to clog up the courts. I know none of the skumbags involved or their families will be paying for the lawyers and that the taxpayers will again be saddled with providing lawyers, judges, police, prison guards, healthcare and food for these leaches for a long time. It's not a surprise, though. It's part of the culture. I'm taking a wild guess that not one penny of the medical costs for this poor kid are coming out of his family's pocket. When does it stop? When do the people who keep getting stuck with these costs get a break?

Too bad. I'm wondering if the "culture" that breeds this sort of violence will ever get it. Probably not. There should be an open season on gangbangers. Or a bounty. The paper could publish the signs, tats, car window decals of the gangs and we could just pop 'em like rats. We could have a big formal ball each fall to celebrate the eradication of large numbers of gangbangers each year. Of course, their mommies (who knows who their daddies are?) and extended families would raise hell because they were really good kids in bad situations. But, think what a great economic boon it would be to the back-window-decal business. "In Memory of mi hijo" and all. The bishop would have to hire more child molesters just to keep up with the funerals. I suspect there aren't many of these scumbags who are buried in Episcopal or Presbyterian services. Wonder what the ratio of **** gangbangers Catholics to **** Protestants is in this burg? Anyway, I'm sorry to see another young life wasted and more little shitz added to the penitentiary system to further the decline of this local "culture".
You have a right to be upset, but why with the bishop. Why don't you check with Pastor Hector Vega and see how many of this types of funerals he has conducted. I, too, am very tired of my taxes maintaining anybody that goes behind the bars!!

I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL BECAUSE I THINK EVERYBODY FEELS THE SAME WAY BUT THE FAMILIES ALL THE WAY AROUND AND AS FAR AS GO BACK TO PARENTING DON'T YOU KNOW THAT SUSAN MARTINES PASSED THAT LAW WE CAN NOT DISCIPLINE OUR CHILDREN ITS CHILD ABUSE HERE IN NM AND THESE KID PLAY THAT CARD SO IT'S NOT THE PARENTS YOU REALLY THINK THE PARENT WANT OR TEACHES THEIR KID TO DO THIS OR ACT THIS WAY NOT ALWAYS

Funny how some have decided to blame Gov Martinez for their teenagers action. Next they will blame Santa Claus. So when does it become the parents responsibility? A teen is dead because other teenagers that were raised without parenting decided to do what they thought would be a really cool thing to do.......beat someone to death with a golf club. And then a poor veteran that had nothing to do with any of it is dead too. I am sorry but teens that can pull triggers without hesitation are no angels. Nor are the teens that associate with them. God help us all.

For the past couple of years, our gang driven young people are killing and being killed.

Jails aren't going to straighten out a really screwed up kid, their parents don't give a shat any more, and society really just wants to wash their hands of them. I want to wring their pencil necks and bury them eraser head first.

That leaves the survivors. The parents, guardians, the grands, or who ever. That leaves the survivor's victims. And so on. The innocents.

I, for the love of God, just don't understand why kids today are so fearless that sensible behavior and consequences just really doesn't seem to register as a common sense option.

They are fearless because they can't see tomorrow.

Our community is in shock and disbelief over how incredibly stupid, STUPID, these senseless deaths have occurred. We can't lock-up all of them, and it doesn't seem to matter if we could.

They are stupidly fearless. Like terrorists who blow themselves to bits. How do you stop the fearless when remarkably stupid is their motivator?

I just don't know any more.

Enough already. The kid is gone. His friends killed an innocent man. LCSN, you're glorifying the gangbangers and their followers by giving this incident so much coverage. If these losers want to kill each other, the hell with all of them. And if all the other underage kids attend these parties whatever happens to them, WHO CARES??? Parents of decent children don't want their kids subjected to this. Round up all the little bastards and put them in an interment camp and let them go at each other. When they kill each other throw all of them in a crematorium together. Betcha' it would cut the State benefits these losers are receiving in half. Too much publicity for a bunch of lost causes.

Hmmm, can you read? Both incidents occurred in the county therefore DASO investigates. Also, for your information many other agencies are working VERY closely with DASO to bring a resolution to this case, especially LCPD. These Officers are working long days to bring these $hitbags to justice. Good job brothers and sisters.

They are not glorifying it. They are bringing awareness. They are also showing what a family the oņate knights are, and how they come together and support each other

actually we the family are paying for his medical costs... his mother is a hard working woman... she pays for her children's insurance every month out of the money she earns... you shouldn't assume you are the one paying with your taxes when you don't know them... she also pays taxes and will be the one paying for the man that did this to her son to go to prison... think twice when you think you know all...
