I personally cannot believe I'm doing this, but I tend to agree with the opinion offered by Vic Titus. Glad I'm not having to call this shot, though.

Well, I figure, she set the bail, but the bondsman paid it. Very confusing situation, I agree with Interesting, I would hate to be the one to have to decide in this case!

Well it is about time but a misdemeanor is hardly justice. She interfered with the performance of an officer going to arrest the person. She also aided and abedded the fugitive by warning him that an arrest was iminent and that they fugitive should run. Also there is the matter of her telling the fugitive to come to her court the next day and she would "take care of it." That is certainly judicial miconduct.
This is just one of the many examples of misconduct. Need everyone be reminded that she is skirting the requirment that a municipal court judge has to "live" in the city by having a house in Aztec but actually lives with her husband in Colorado. She should be removed from the bench permenantly. Tom Havel was arrested and suspended for an alegation. Let's get the message here folks, this women does not deserve to be on the bench of any court. |

BYe, Bye Barbara! Don't care if she gets convicted of anything so long as Judicial Standards does its job and makes her pack her things.

Amen! |

Wow!!
I feel for anyone who thinks this is a tough situation. It is a very sad situation when a Magistrate notifies a defendant in a criminal case to run because the Bounty Hunter, Sheriffs Office, Police Dept, Bail Bondsman, US Marshalls, FBI, anyone with the power to arrest IS ON THEIR WAY TO GET YOU, RUN and I'll take care of it!! Some people may say, well it was just a Bounty Hunter or Just a Bail Bondsman but what if as is normaly the case the Bounty Hunter had called the local PD to help in the arrest and the defendant because of being notified had shot and killed a police officer as well as a Bounty Hunter/Bail Bondsman!!!!! I agree 100% with Pack your Bags and be gone!! we cannot have this go on anywhere in this country. And worse, can you imagine if she is Home in Colorado laughing at this, what would that mean??? Thank you!! |

Hey dim wits,#1 she isnt a magistrate and #2 who told all you that she lives in Colorado? Imagination running wild again!

Goldberg is a crook himself and has no business being a arresting anyone, he's a damn bailbond man. Anyone that is from Farmington area knows what kind of crook he is, shit lock him up. Way to GO Judge Aldaz.

The only real crime here is using Goldberg and Credible in the same sentence.

Coming from the perspective of a fellow bail bondsmen if this story is true the system has sunk to an all time low. That's the problem with all these left wing judges. They all have a soft sport for these dirt bags. Its ridiculous!

First of all, Thanks to the Daily Times for keeping up on this. Second of all, It aint over until it's taken before a jury and if I have learned anything, don't second guess a jury. With all of this said, maybe there is a lesson to be learned from this situation for Barbara, now she will know the uncertainty of having her livelyhood in someone else's hands. She has run roughshod over people for a long time and it is time for it to stop. Let's all hope the legal system works and the outcome is right for all. I hope the Judicial Standards Commission suspends her until this thing is overwith. She has no business sitting on the bench with this hanging over her head. It's time for change here and these are the first few steps
|
|
She does live in Colorado with her husband on his ranch. Oh sure she has property in Aztec but she does not reside here. She Lives in Colorado. |
|
The bondsman, as I understand it from earlier articles in the paper, was not alone. He was accompanied by a police officer. Crooked or not the process was set in motion and Aldaz interceeded. |
|
Your comments are to be applauded. A question if I may... Where were you in March? |
|
All of you need to get the story right. You are all stupid to believe that she lives in Colorado. She does not. She lives here in Aztec. I know her personally and I think that she has done an outstanding job as a judge. Don't believe anything that Goldberg guy has said. Hes a crook and a liar. |
|
|
I applaud you Jane Doe and thank you for having correct information!

George, Been here all along and have been watching and waiting, wishing there was more I could say or do. As far as where she lives, I believe she lives close by, but not in the City Limits. She does own a home in the City, but has her close family living there. This residence is all for appearances.
