I fully agree with Ms. Chetram! She is doing the right thing by taking this company to court. I am an ex-employee of this company. I have over ten years of floral background. I was employed by 1-800-Flowers back in 2005 and let go in 2006 without given reasons. Throughout my employment with 1800Flowers, I discovered the inexperienced staff the company had working for them. No one knew anything about the floral industry. They were highly experienced in the business world but the floral industry in one in it by itself. As for Franchise consultants, they were only there for the holidays to make sure the franchise owner was not cheating. As a matter of fact, they would control the cash register. I had filed a complaint with the Division of Human Rights and recently been notified that I have no case. I submitted 17 pages of what occurred during my employment with this company. I was a Retail Store Manager in NYC. I will continue to fight my case now in the Supreme Court.

Anyone who spends $850,000 and takes no accountability is an idiot. It seems to me she should blame her businees advisors and lawyers. Where was this lawyer that she hired to bring suit when she was investing and spending her money.

Maybe if ALM in Rocckville Centre took a few minutes to learn about the company he/she worked for he/she would not have been fired. The owner of the company started as a florist ad ran many shops before expandig the company.

NY is an at will state, meaning you can fired for cause or for no reason whatsoever. You have NO case. Stop wasting the court's time.

Or, to put it in a way that shows respect for democracy, petition your representative to change the law - or run for office yourself.

Stop complaining and grow up. Don't blame 1800 flowers for your failure.

Leo

You'll benefit from spending time on your plans and dreams for the future.
