Waterzooi? is this one man's idea of where to find fancy microbrews or to watch football. i don't even remember a tv in this joint. just low lights

try Sweeeneys in Garden City

Living in Huntington, I would choose Finnegan's before Canterbury.

the missing ingredient is the TV

How about Shakeltons in Franklin Square. Big bar, good food and at least 6 TVs.

If nothing else, that article is meant to draw people away from where this guy really wants to go to watch football. Because those places, with the exception of Croxleys, suck.

At home I'd say.
There is never a wait for the bathroom. Plus no dribble on the bathroom floor. The beer is colder and less expensive and more of it. The pickens are readily available and if you are a good host or hostess the company is more enjoyable.

An interesting theory, Jimmy!
Locally, Monaghan's has good beer, great food, and a friendly staff.
Or my house, great beer, fantastic food, and a 52'
TV - if you can put up with a rabid Giants fan!

Has anyone else ever noticed around the NY area that any guy wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey is usually a grossly obese Italian guy (with the signature fat-face-hiding goatee or mangy beard) with WAY too much jewelry on?
I've also noticed most girls named Tina are strippers.

But terribly fat and WAY too many 1980's styled gold chains hanging around the neck and the ever-dreaded gold bracelets on a man.
Nothing says "I'm a fat slob" like a fat 50 yr old guy wearing a football jersey.

Any place where you can watch the Bills. This weekend was particularly great.
I hope all you Jet fans enjoyed the game whereever you were.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
