Gay marriage has no impact on you or who you can marry so why be an a hole about it just for the sake of being an a hole? The answer is because you are an insecure a hole! It's time for YOU to grow up and realize not everyone wants the perverted gay agenda thrown in their face, believer OR nonbeliever. You think only believers voted? Shows your bigotry and ignorance. YOU are the insecure asshole because your views and opinions are in the MINORITY,,so, GROW UP LITTLE PAT.

American Medical Assoc. votes to seek repeal of 'don't ask, don't tell' By Lindsey Tanner, The Associated Press CHICAGO — The American Medical Association on Tuesday voted to oppose the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, and declared that gay marriage bans contribute to health disparities. More and more Christians are learning to accept what the Bible really says rather than trying to pretend that the Bible condemns homosexuality. The simple truth is that NOWHERE in the Bible is homosexuality condemned. It is only in the MIStranslations of simple minded buffoons that any group of people are singled out and condemned.

If the bible is mistranslated as you say, then why does the bible condemn homosexual practice in different places, both OT and NT? Also, it says that man should not lay with animals......do you dispute this as well? It doesn't. There is no place in the Bible that condemns homosexuality, except by mistranslation of the original text. The only NT writings that appear to address it are from Paul, and Paul INVENTED the word "arsenokoites" from root words meaning "man" & "beds". The best understanding of this is a reference to male temple prostitution. This would put Paul in parallel with the OT scripture of Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13, both of which prohibit (Isrealite) men from having sex with male temple prostitutes is fertility rituals dedicated to foriegn Gods. In some translations, the Greek word malakos is also translated as homosexual, even though in a correct translation it means "soft" and was slang for effeminate - as the Greeks understood the term. Greek effeminancy had more to do with a general unwillingness to deny one's pleasures (gluttony & drunkeness), gossiping, and laziness than in what we today would see as effeminate behavior. And they saw nothing effeminate about hopmosexual behavior.

Yes, it was all very macho UNTIL the Sacred Band of Thebes -- a group of gay Greek warriors who would fight to the death for one another -- were wiped out by Phillip's Macedonian.

I feel restect for all religions, none of them agree with each other, there will always be differences well may never agree but tolerance will create pease. Dont we all want PEACE.We had the ok to kill mormons (they had to move west) We used, betrayed the native indians who helped us settle in this wonderful country. What did we do to them? Many good church going people sat on ther hands while the blacks were harrased and murdered(you see in the papers, these crimes are to court, old people are going to jail. Better late then never. I dont agree with any church or group that trys to turn us againist each other. Spread lyes and create fear of each other. Is this PEACE? Is this the way our goverment should be? RESPECT RESILIENCE RESPONSIBILITY REFLECTION Lets not make mistakes of the past Were better then that

ccrider wrote: <quoted text>> You seem to lumping a lot of folks into the same category. You and I are driving down a road in 2 different cars. There is a sign that says "road as you know it ends in 2 miles". We both approach the barricades at the end of the proverbial road. We try to slow down and stop, but we can't. Both cars zoom through the barricades into what looks like a big white sheet, and we go through the "sheet". After passing through,an atheist finds another road and goes down it. The Christian finds a different road & goes up it. I think you can guess where I'm going with this. My point being that atheists (not just you but all atheists) are taking a mighty big chance by not preparing eternity just in case there is something "beyond that sheet" (which I believe there is). You may make fun of my corny example, but I hope you understand. It's your life, not mine. What is up or down? God gave us hills and said it was GOOD
