If the "Bishop" was right with God, he would be happy about the Maine vote.

The Lane of Maine is a lame brain.

Well, the "many Episcopalians who are deeply grieved" are also deeply confused.

Hooray that the vote turned out as it did.

So you think that someone who votes conservatively on social issues is a bigot or a moron because they vote the way they feel the Lord is leading them? The way of the world is not the way of God.

God is a silly superstition, a crutch for the peasants. Time for you to grow up and stop playing make believe.
Gay marriage has no impact on you or who you can marry so why be an a hole about it just for the sake of being an a hole? The answer is because you are an insecure a hole!

Sorry but you are the wrong one. Honesty may be darkness to a fearful death denier like yourself but to me honesty is quite liberating. Surrendering your mind over to feel good dogmas is cowardly. Brave thinkers do their own thinking and are concerned with the validity of their beliefs.

Christianity is not a "feel good dogma"; it is the Truth. What divides us is that you have some kind of a worldly, secular view point based on human reasoning.

truth to you, but thats it. the truth for you varies in many ways as it varies from person to person...truth varies among the believers too...

to claim you have the ONLY truth shows how little attention youre paying to reality...

Bishop Stephen T. Lane of Maine is promoting Satanism.

Leviticus 18:22 - You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 - If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

The TRUTH is that you are just one more dishonest theist with no concern at all for the truth. To a Christian it does not matter why a person believes in god, so long as they believe. For the atheist, in contrast, the paramount issue is the justification for the belief. You see, us atheists value honesty far more than you persons of faith. We take the ethical high road, you on the other hand could not care less about ethics, for you, your personal desires are all that count. You let your foolish emotionalism override rational thinking.

The TRUTH is there is not any proof at all for any god or anything supernatural. That is a simple fact. Religion requires faith because the claims being made in religion can't stand on their own merits because it is all unsupported dogma wose real purpose is to help people escape reality. Religion has no concern at all for honesty. It is stale stagnant dogma, totally uneffected by reality and any discoveries made in the real world.

If Atheism writes upon the blackboard of the Universe a question mark, it writes it for the purpose of stating that there is a question yet to be answered. Is it not better to place a question mark upon a problem while seeking an answer than to put the label "God" there and consider the matter solved? Does not the word "God" only confuse and make more difficult the solution by assuming a conclusion that is utterly groundless and palpably absurd?

You seem to lumping a lot of folks into the same category.

You and I are driving down a road in 2 different cars. There is a sign that says "road as you know it ends in 2 miles". We both approach the barricades at the end of the proverbial road. We try to slow down and stop, but we can't. Both cars zoom through the barricades into what looks like a big white sheet, and we go through the "sheet". After passing through,an atheist finds another road and goes down it. The Christian finds a different road & goes up it. I think you can guess where I'm going with this. My point being that atheists (not just you but all atheists) are taking a mighty big chance by not preparing eternity just in case there is something "beyond that sheet" (which I believe there is).

You may make fun of my corny example, but I hope you understand. It's your life, not mine.

The one taking the chance is you because you are foolishly assuming this god of yours would find more merit in blind faith than he would in logic and reason. I think the odds are far better that you will be receiving the eternal spankin for failing to use the brain god gave you in exchange for feel good mythology.

You have been played a fool by the god hustlers who have used fear on you to get to abandon the use of your brain.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
