From the Dot Foods website,,,,,

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dot Foods announces plans to acquire assets of New York redistributor
Mt. Sterling, Ill., Sept. 7, 2007 – Dot Foods, Inc., a national food redistributor, has signed an agreement to purchase certain assets of Empire Beef and Redistribution Company of Rochester, N.Y.
Empire Beef filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection yesterday. The contract to sell assets to Dot was filed along with the bankruptcy filing and will be subject to the approval of the bankruptcy court. Dot Foods expects to conclude the purchase of assets within 60 days.
“Empire Beef is a natural fit for Dot because they are servicing a similar customer base as Dot,” says Jim Tracy, Dot Foods Senior VP/General Counsel.“Their commodity meat products represent a new category for us, so we’ll be enhancing our product offering to our customers.”
Empire Beef is a redistributor of meat and other food products to foodservice distributors in 20 Eastern states. With its headquarters and primary distribution center in Rochester, it has a second distribution center in Orefield, Penn., a sales office in New Jersey and 275 employees company-wide.

Oh no, they told us about the bankruptcy, but this article makes it sound like Dot's already signed the papers and they've got us, they don't. The company is still up for grabs, so if someone else comes in with a better offer, Dot won't be the one to buy anything.

I worked for Empire for five years and currently have a law suit pending against them. Now that the company is being sold, I have a better chance at winning.

I am glad they gave me a promotion before going down,I knew this was gonna happen with my little insider tacks, i took off just before it went down-i call it,'seconds to disaster',things started to look unpromising at some point, everything around suggested a struggle, the $$$$$#s kept going down!!!I refuse to believe Empire Beef will soon be only found in history books.

S.L were going to have to take your Cars (Lexus included), houses and yeah, were going to have to repo your wife's 'enhancements'.
Ah, another life lesson learned, shady deals never prosper.

Best of luck to anyone involved with this, I’m sure someday (if not today) you'll look back at this moment and laugh your ass off as due justice has occurred.

DOT employee's keep yuor heads up, your still the #1 distributor in my book.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
