Our tallest player is only 6-1 and that just wont cut it at the higher levels. we re also small at every other position wich doesnt help matters. the good news is we will have some size in the future (freshmen) that will help. One thing is for sure, though, we will never get out hustled or outworked. These boys play HARD!

They have the skill, size and work ethic, but the lack of size is bound to catch up to them. They will have to win their way in as the strength of schedule(wild card points) will not be high enough for them to qualify for state. Syracuse may be the weakest team in sub-district. Conestoga and Ashland out. Lincoln Luth. and defending C-2 State Champ Lincoln Christ. in. Then you have Milford, Sandy Creek, Wilbur Clatonia on the opposite side with Fairbury. I hope they "get 'er done" but I just dont think this will be the year.

Good win tonight. Really needed it. Glad some of the other boys got to play. BTW what was up with Brandt barely getting to play in a blowout like that? Is he in the coaches dog house or something?

Is he in the coaches dog house or something? Have him ask the coach, instead of dad getting on topix to start crap. Be happy he is on the varsity. There are a lot of others that wish they could be on varsity.

Sorry, I'm not his dad. I'm much too old to have a kid in high school and I wasn't "starting crap" as you put it. I've just watched a lot of Tiger basketball over the years and I notice things while I'm watching games and saw that for some reason all of the "non-starters" but Brandt played almost the entire 4th quarter. Usually all those kids come into the game at the same time.

Yeah its ridiculous....but if you know any thing about Tiger BB it is what it is.....you won't change it .....Campbell is incredible and not a starter on Varsity. The boys are so sick and tired of being told be happy you are on Varsity. What the heck is there to be happy about when you sit over freshman and those who are less talented. Lets sit the starters on the bench and tell them the same thing. I assure you neither the boys or their parents will be happy...so glad I have girls playing and not boys....

Go back to the old way, before Hogue and the rest showed up. You work your arse off for a position. The the same goes for Football and even track. Those who work hard are at best, second on the coaches lists. Those with nanes and who's parents kiss some butt, play no matter what. 25 yrs. ago, you had to try out for a spot. If you beat a upperclassman out of that spot, you did it fair and square. Who cared about the other players feelings, you got the position. THAT is what's it's all about!! If you were good, you played, if you had a "name" and weren't good, you didn't play. Simple as that. Does anybody remember when it was only about winning, not who's kid played or if the chosen few got into trouble, they were taken care of and would plat as soon as possible. There will never be an answer to this problem unless the top hald simple go away. Until then, the problem just reproduces itself and it continues over and over.

As for starting though, i must say there is no spot for him in the starting lineup. The reason for this is he is a post player, and i dont think he is good enough to take huettner's or witts spot. As for the underclassman issue(freshman), This class has some real special atheletes in it and a very bright future(if you've watched them play this year you know who they are). A couple of these kids have tremendous upside and will become the best players here for the near future. Coaches in any school at any level have to develop the players who they believe will give them the best chance to win now and in the future.

Campbell is as good as Witt. Huetner is a strong player and confident. Who wouldn't be if they were given the chance. Have to wonder if the boy does steroids because he sure acts like it. bball god wrote: <quoted text> you have a point with saying campbell should get more playing time. Let's hear the names of players over the last several years that should have been starting because they earned it? Remember this, you or nobody else have the right to choose who starts unless YOU have been to every practice. This should be interesting!!

Just don't know from one play to the next where he's head is at. If he could ever figure it out he'd be a definite starter. Don't want wishy washy as a starter.

Don't want wishy washy as a starter. Your analysis is dead on with Campbell. He shows some real potential but you have to be steady and dependable. I think he can be a big contributor next year if he keeps working and getting better, but starting spots are going to be hard to come by. Tiger bball is on the rise and its gunna be real fun to watch the next three years.

The tiger freshman boys beat class b juggernaut beatrice last night in overtime. That's a huge accomplishment due to the fact that the varsity is 15-1 and ranked second in the state. Good job boys and keep working hard, it will pay of in the next three years.
