Awh but there was! It is in the article by Joe Duggan of The Lincoln Journal Star in a story called: Ten Years After, Questions Linger. All you have to do is google it. A hair was found on Brandon's wrist that was determined not to be Lotters. Whos hair was it? Is A Good Question!!

Just because Joe Duggan wrote an article years later, doesn't mean his claim is correct. Believe what you want, but there wasn't any hair there to have tested.

So how is that you would know more than a Lincoln Journal Star, Associated Press reporter who investigated it?

I suppose because I trust reading the appeal decisions in Lotter's case, both state and federal, and there is no mention of Joe Duggan's mysterious hair mentioned in that one sentence of an article written ten years after the trials by a reporter who wasn't involved in the actual case itself. Tell you what, though, why don't you write to Lotter at Nebraska DOC at Tecumseh and tell him Duggan had newly discovered evidence (ten years ago) and he should apply to the district court for a writ of corbam nobis.

Well thank you for the idea, but I already have written him, I guess we will see if there is dna evidence at the murder scene or not. Thanks

How likely is it that he will actually get executed? I mean, he's been hanging out on DR for 18 years now right? Must be one heck of a queue...

Not likely the only evidence that he was even there has recanted and said that he not lotter killed all three. he has changed his story and is still lying, lotter wasn't even in the house!

you know there is so much we the public still do not know about this case nor will we ever. Everything hasnt been let out of the bag and never will be disclosed. There are problems with the case, John has grounds for appeal on severl points some us judges have stated, still he cant even get another chance to prove it. DNA should be automatic in any case just as appeals are automatic.

It is sad that nobody is thinking of the victim here. Before they died they did not get to eat their favorite meal, they did not get to visit with their loved ones to say good-bye, and they surely didn't get a visit from a priest to calm them. Instead the victim suffered by the hands of someone who is now sitting in a jail cell but able to have dailys meal, watch tv, go outside and breath fresh air all on our dime. Where is the human rights for the victim? Just because they have passed away and have no voice we should ignore them?

They are never going to execute John Lotter.
The country has pretty much phased out 'capital punishment'. He is only going to stay in prison until he dies.
