Fernley City Council Appoints New Mayor

The Fernley City Council has appointed Leroy Goodman the city's new mayor. After an extensive public interview process by the City Council, Goodman was appointed by the Fernley City Council to fill the remaining term of former Mayor Todd Cutler.

Doesn't it seem funny to the citizens of Fernley that the "new" mayor was selected by the "city council" the day before the other three prospects were to be reviewed by the "city council"!!!

After talking to one of the prospective mayors, He had this to say, " The city council had chosen and sworn in Goodman the night before the other candidates and I where to go before the "board"

Does the word "corruption" fit the bill?
