We already know that charities have been hit hard by the down economic times. At the same time there is a desperate increase in need. In our own neighborhood, PACE has found that they will not receive the normal food donations they usually receive from Boston during these upcoming Holidays.
In order to help stock up the food pantry, MassPIRG students are collecting canned foods for Halloween week by having students sponsor Zombies by donated nonperishable food items. During Thursday, student volunteers will be dressing up participants as zombies and collecting cans to donate to PACE. |
