missing girls from rogersville

I heard that 2 girls were missing from rogersville. One is rickie price's daughter destiny lawson and another girl named stephany something. Anyone have any info on them?

yes they are missing have been missing fo 3 days

Did they run away? Or are they missing?

If they are missing, post a picture on here and maybe someone will see them and help. Any idea of where they may have gone or who they are with?

How old are they. God bless this family hope you find them and they come home safely.

i think its a little of both they ran away and are now missing destiny lawson and stephany merrill are 15 hopefully the are found soon and brought home safe

Again, I dom't know any of these kids. My question is, why hasn't Hawkins Co. made this Public or an Amber Alert hasn't been made?

Police generally will not accept a missing persons report until 72 hours have passed. It's true that most cases of missing kids are due to misunderstandings, such as a parent forgot the child was picked up by grandma or such, but not all cases are that way. Police should take into account the age and circumstances. A 2 year old missing in the winter has likely wandered off into the woods and should be searched for. Of course, reading the paper lately, it seems if your toddler gets out, the consensus is both parents should get the death penalty.

Ok... what does this have to do with anything? These girls have been missing for close to a month? I think they should have an amber alert out or something.

OK, how old are these girls? The other discussion on this topic says that Ms. Price was arrested Wednesday for injecting morphine before she gave birth in November 2011. Was this when they found the daughter was missing? Is it the baby that is missing?

Who is the parents of the merrill girl? This is so sad. Why would you have to wait so many hours to have it broadcasted as an amber alert? These two little girls could need our help now not later.

Amber alerts can only be issued once it has been positively established a child has been abducted. Its not a missing child alert, its and abduction alert.

i think they are about 14yrs old or I know Destiny is. She has never had ANY raising. The kid was smoking and drinking when she was 10 and who knows what so it's no suprise she's ran away. And her "momma" just popped out kid #4 a month ago that went straight into states custody. Just what she needed. Why would you keep having kids when you don't even have the first 3?!!!

Wow. That's a mess. The mother has four children and three are in state custody and the fourth is missing?

Sounds like the reason there is no amber alert might be there is an obvious suspect to look into first.

What hasn't been established is if the girl went missing after the mother was arrested or if the girl was already missing when they made the arrest. We need to know if did the mother claim the girl was missing when she couldn't be found when the police showed up. Is it that the girl has been possibly missing much longer but the authorities only found out she was missing on Wednesday when they arrested the mother.

I hope this isn't a case where there is a body that's been sitting in a trash can somewhere for several weeks. Is it?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I thought it was 24hrs before they could/would file the report. But these girls being under age and there is more than one missing. Seems this would be an exception.
Unless this whole thing has no truth to begin whith.

Amber alerts are only issued for abducted children not run aways. Stephanie and Destiny were lovers. Any info would be greatly appreciated for there location!

When someone calls about a missing child the police departments has 2 hours to complete the report and turn it into the national database. This is to make sure the missing child is reported asap.
