What a sad story. How is that a car can just drive onto the canal path?

Does it really matter at this point? It was a tragic accident. Just hope it never happens to you or yours. Let him rest in peace.
People like you really make this world such a caring place.

At that spot (if you are unaware of how it works, there is an area behind parking lot that goes to a small hots/hamburg joint and then across grass to canal path. Course, he would have had to cross grass and not seen any lights (cause even on the worst nite you see lights from houses/streetlights and they do reflect in canal). Maybe he thought he could go down path and hit 31F or O'Connor Rd. off path. Such a tragedy.

I wonder if he had a seizure? he might have had a seizure and then his car lost control. it makes sense. a healthy kid would have been able to get out of the car right? even if it did go into the canal?

Fact, they found a car and a body, not sure it was the boy. Life has ended fast and young, so sad for the family and friends. If you want to drink evil spirits and drive on the canal path well this is the verdict of someone driving in the fast lane thank god no one else was hurt or killlled.

Oh, so the next time you have a drink and drive somewhere you aren't familiar in pouring rain and it's dark, you deserve to have the ill-fate of this young man. Boy are you "batty."

Not if he was too drunk. It's sad that he died, but at least he didn't take any innocent people with him.

Doesn't matter. He didn't deserve to die. You my friend need to chill. What a blow to the family while they are mourning over the loss of their child!! Are you always this empathetic?

Have some human compassion for the family if nothing else. You are human aren't you?

To the family of this young man: GOD SPEED AND MAY YOU FIND COMFORT DURING THIS MOST DIFFICULT TIME.

Sal, this is what we call an accident. A car being submerged in water and the escape possibility is difficult. Have you ever been submerged underwater in a car?

Sometimes people are able to get out, other times they might not.

Sal just have some compassion for the family of this young man. Let's not play CSI right now ok?

If he was drunk, then as sad as the situation is, he alone is responsible for his death. We can have sympathy, but lets not make a hero of him if drinking and driving was the cause. I offer my condolences to the family and friends of this young man.
