It's on the South side of Bethlehem. If you're not familiar with Bethlehem It shouldn't be too hard. It's actually near the new casino. Fourth St. runs east/west the sale is outside on the sidewalk by a big old beautiful church.I've heard about this every year, but have never gone. What I hear is all good. People can't believe what these kids leave behind. Get there early. If you have more ?'s before the sale I'll check back to see if you left a comment.
Happy shopping Jen:)

Thanks for this. I was curious where it was myself. Looks like a lot of great deals to be made. I'm a Thrift Store baby, all my clothes come from the Thrift Store. We're not poor, but, it saves A LOT of money, plus, it recycles items while giving back to the community, all at the same time. I know I'll be showing up tomorrow :)

Hey RSD Survivor, mind if I ask you a question ? Would that be the big church that's just across the hill to hill bridge if you stay straight toward 5 points ?
Thanks

Do you know which Lutheran Church it's across from? I googled Lutheran Churches on 4th Street and there are three of them. Thanks for any help you can offer!

You'll be going away from the Hill to Hill bridge(which is marked Fahey bridge) It's more towards Lehigh, the Minsi bridge. Actually it's the next bridge down from the Hill to Hill, going towards the casino. You'll see people then park and run. HaHa! I hope you get some good stuff.

I'm so sorry Lynn. I don't know the name of the church. The best I can say is 378 to the southside. You'll be on third St.Turn Right onto 4th and keep going down 4th St. towards the casino. You'll see people and most likely will see them putting things out provided you get there early. I believe the church lets you use there parking lot. You won't be able to miss it. Good luck. I wish I could help you with road names and the name of the church. I haven't driven for 5 yrs. so I can't recall the name of the cross street. I'm sure someone will help you with directions BUT keep your doors locked. I think you'll be able to find it ok.

I love to thrift shop. I used to go to Emaus. While you're in Bethlehem there are 2 new shops that just opened. The Attic- 14 W. Broad St.(designer bags and clothes)- 11am-8pm Mon.-Sat. www.atticclothes.com AND Underwired- 520 Main St.(vintage clothing and wares)- www.underwiredvintage.com .
Hope you have time to check these out.
have a great weekend-RSD

I go to the sale every year and I am always pleased. It's block's from my home and my children enjoy themselves.

However, I have a question:
What South Bethlehem Youth Programs exactly are these proceeds going to?
I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I find it funny that no one agency or program is named on any sign, in any press release and/or during television coverage. I am very curious about where the proceeds are going? I am especially wanting to know if it is the South Bethlehem Neighborhood Center receiving the money.
If someone has an honest answer to my questions, please reply.

Brandy you bring up a very good point. I wonder who would have the answer to that. An honest answer. I have a friend who owns a store on the southside. I'm going to ask her if she knows or if she knows who to contact. She is involved with the Chamber of Commerce, maybe she might point me in the right direction. If I find out I'll post it back to your comment.

Thanks for trying. I work at a social service agency in south bethlehem for nine years, have four children and I was born and raised here. I always tkae an interest in my own neighborhood. I am especially interested since I couldn't find an appropriate summer program for my son(10)to go to this summer. Just wondering what's going on for the youth in south bethlehem because so far, even with all my resources, I'm at a total loss.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Taurus

Although the influences around now tend to give you endurance and stamina, you do have to watch that you're not straining your body too much, or trying to force yourself to do things that you don't want to do. Too much willpower can sometimes make you push yourself past your limits. You may be overspending to compensate, because you feel that you deserve a little reward for all your hard work. However, you'll have to pay the piper sooner or later!
