What a clown...Bradford to New Haven about 215 miles. He was going about the right speed, he just didn't factor in that he would probably get pulled over. CLOWN

Guess he was late for dinner! I hope they slap him with the highest possible fine; afterall, he can afford it if he's driving a BMW!

Poor kid....really....just because he drives a Bentley doesn't mean he's special or deserves special treatment. He's the jackass! As far as judging him...he admitted to driving way too fast just to get to dinner in another state. He should have been responsible enough to leave earlier & not think he could get away with that kind of speed. What if he had hit someone....with kids in their car? Would you still call him poor kid!?! Or what if he had run over your dog or cat...hmmmm? Would you still feel the same way. I am thankful that he didn't harm anyone & was caught before he got to CT!

I think he deserves special treatment...he worked hard enough to afford a $200K car...give the poor guy a break, let him go as fast as he wants...

I hope you are all as outraged that CT releases repeat violent offenders again and again into our communities to brutalize us in our own communities and homes. Offenders who molest and murder children are given respite in this state; a serial rapist of at least 4 victims linked by DNA evidence was released into Southbury, after brutally rapeing an 8 year old and getting out in 4 years- an predator went on this year to murder and burn the body of his girlfriend(wtby); a group of 18-young 20 somethings murdered a young mentally challenged woman and shoved her in a box only to be given sentences that let them out in 18-20 years(some of them had violent felony historiesHtfd); we all know what happended in New Britain and Cheshire...but anyway and more importantly..how about those rising gas prices and somebody speeding???

He was an ass and didn't care how fast he was going or if his actions caused the safty of other motorists on the roadway. Chances are that the fine the judge gives him will be less than the speeding ticket.

why do highway patrol cops need undercover unmarked cruisers with passenger plates? why do they need illegel tinted windows? why do they need to hide? isn't a plainly visable marked police car more affective? isn't it better to prevent illegal activity then to hide in the background hoping to catch someone? why do these troopers get to drive these TAX PAYER OWNED CARS that get 13 miles to the gal. home and around town and on family outings on the tax payers dime? the ct state police needs to be controled they need to be stopped they need to be watched because 70% of theses chumps are abusive trash and get a thrill off of ruining the average tax payers day screw these pigs

to "no more" what happened in Cheshire is tragic. I cannot think of a more horrific crime.
However, a spoiled kid in a Bentley driving too fast is not automatically a convicted felon.

The State Police use unmarked vehicles because if people saw a marked unit they would slow down. DUHHH. No one forces these people to speed and there is a limit to how fast someone can go, safely. If someone doesn't want his day ruined....then slow down to a managable speed. I have driven in CT A LOT, as well as the rest of New England. There are drivers that don't give a crap about anyone else. Those are the ones that need to be stopped. I don't know what happened in Cheshire and I don't know about CT State Police letting their troopers use vehicles for personal use. Arresting to guy in the Bentley is just a misderminor in VT
