All the stories around town were a lot more interesting, according to the Wadsworthlesses, two people were shot and killed, and before that a family was held hostage in a garage.

I think that the Wadsworth Police Department should not withhold information from people living close by in town, and cause useless panic and mania.

It's very absurd, I'm ashamed to have ever moved here. Although I must say, I'm glad that I moved two years ago ..but coming home to my parents' house and not knowing what is going on in town is a terrible way to spend a day.

Way to go police...cause a big scene in town, over a somewhat small matter that shouldn't get the whole town involved; or at least give them some sort of idea of what is going on.

Why is everyone so hard on the police department around this city? Last I read was that this stand off ended peacefully...to me that is excellent police work. I have to disagree with you about the police withholding information. It's not the business of the community anyway, your safety should be your main concern. The resident's put their own story together anyway and blow it way out of proportion. So by time you are tied up in the gossip forum, you wouldn't believe what they told you. Man, give the cops a break. They are only doing their job.

''Oh, my God, this is crazy,'' she said.''People with rifles (were) going through our back yards.''

Apart from the domestic, what's wrong with a guy possessing a firearm on his own property in his own garage? Perchance a little over-reaction from the authorities?
