I think the driver should not be ever allowed to drive agian and ride his bike around.

He should be fried!!!
They let him free after killing once and now they gave him a bond after killing again????? A license to kill. Let the blood be on the D.A. and the judge for that. |

Need to take bikes off the highway. It is to dangerous, for everyone. Even if you are not drinking and speeding. Fourwheeler, golf carts, go carts are not allowed to ride on the highway. Bikers do not pay insurance, as required by law on vehicles. I feel sorry for the all the families. But things need to be change about where the bikers can ride. NOT ON HIGHWAYS !!!

Lets fight for getting the drunks off the road and also making sure that when you kill one human you are not going to be free to kill another two.
Bikes needs to stay off heavily traveled roads. I agree with the fourwheelers, golf carts ect. they are NOT street legal and should be banned but we will never have enough bike trails thoughout the country for the bikes. Lets just get them off busy roads. These two have traveled this road for YEARS and a known killer speeds and is on drugs and alcohol and now we blame the bikes? It was the murderer not the bikes. |

BLAKELEY PARK on Hwy 225 would be a perfect place for bikers, but Bikers will NOT ride there. It's to SAFE for everyone. All bikers could meet there as a outing. It should be a LAW, bikers need to ride their bikes on bike trails and not on the hightway. Theres no way you can ride on a strip of road, that is no wider than the handle bars on the bike. Also you can not ride a bike on the main highways in Baldwin County, due to the curves and hills. Bikers check into riding at the PARK.

The problem is the driver was on drugs. It doesn't matter how wide a road is when your hit at 80 mph and the car leaves his lane.

Bikers need to keep off the roads..225 especially.. There is no shoulder.. and with ignorant drivers and drivers that simply do not pay attention, peoople are going to continue to die.. Plain and simple.. Go ride where they have bike paths for crying out loud...

True, but again if they would not have been on the highway !!!!

I agree about not being on Hwy 225, there is to many hills. But Blakley Park would be a great place. They could stay at the PARK, ride and feel safe. Why do they feel they have to be on a busy road.???

It's a tragedy that two innocent people were killed and my sympothy goes out to the families, I also think you are an idiot if you ride on the side of the road with your back turned to oncoming traffic. for one the road is for cars, 2 there are many morons on the road not just the drunks and drug addicts, I've swerved over the yellow line a few times sober, ROADS ARE FOR CARS AND TRUCKS!!! ride your bikes at the park!!!!!!!

Save a LIFE, ride in the PARK.

What the hell? Have you ever noticed the "SHARE THE ROAD" signs? Cyclists (not "bikers," people) have as much right to be on the road as your car does. In many cities cyclists meet once a month for a "Critical Mass" demonstration; clogging city streets with bicycles to remind the rest of us that they have rights, too. Riding a bike is the ultimate "green" transportation... so slow down your gas-guzzling SUV and share the road with a "biker!"

|
Amen!!!!

Is there a speed limit to being on the highways? Keeping traffic held up for several miles should be against the law. Why don't you want to ride in the park? What makes you think someone wants to follow you for miles, with you ass up in the air. Go to the park, for your safety. SAVE YOUR LIFE.

It would really piss you off if I slow down in front of you, on a hill and made you follow me for miles. I'll be glad when they charge the owners of the bikes insurance and make them buy tags. That will clear the roads of bikes. Ride in Blakley Park.

bikers have rights just like pedestians. maybe you should not be able to walk and i have to wait for your sorry slow fat ass to cross the road. give me a break. why dont you try and get along with everyone instead of being mad at a bike rider. wow..get a life
|
|
|
Be careful who you call slow fat ass , I'm not your MOTHER :~) With a attitude like yours, you don't need to be on the road.

Who was the judge. Get his lame ass and name on the web and see if he'll be doing anything other than flipping burgers. Once is an accident, twice is premeditated.

So according to the lastest bloger, it takes three or more vehicular manslaughters to become a criminal. What do you want him picking up trash on the side of the street of is that to brutal of punishment. I guess we could asked these poor souls parents.
Where the hell is this world going to? |
