Symbolically this seems to me to be the story of Homeland Security, especially TSA, spending lots of money and accomplishling little or nothing....like no plastic knives for airline meals...how pathetic.

It might look a bit excessive, but as we learned from 9/11, the terrorists can be very creative and they only need to be right once. It's always difficult to be in a fight where you're out in the open and the enemy is hidden.

NUTS......... 9/11's killers entered the U.S. on airlines not golf carts! Just keep wasting more tax payers money to build a false
sense of security. Guess what, the next wave of "killers" are most likely living on your street.

How pathetic. This failed administration has created a cadre of commando wannabe immigration/customs officers, TSA drill instructors and an attitude that ALL could be possible terrorists so ALL must be treated as potential terrorists. It has been documented that the US economy has lost billions of tourist revenues and chased away thousands of foreign students. Failed intelligence mismanaged by the unintelligent.

What about the home grown terrorists?

I mean the M13s, Bloods & Crips? More people are killed by these street gangs than are by "terrorists" coming in across our borders. Let's clean up our inner cities before we go after golfers from Canada.

Yes. This simply means we have too many Border Patrol agents on the Mexican border. Apparently, the fewer agents, the fewer illegal crossings.

Way to stay on subject. Just like a preschooler who has no actual argument against what the previous poster said, just call names and insult. You lose.

Joe, did you notice they didn't even mention whether the drugs were of the illegal sort. Could have actually been the guy's hypertension medication which is undoubtedly much cheaper in Canada than in the US. I am appalled that we are wasting billions on "homeland security" and hiring thousands of uneducated folks to do our enforcing along the borders. Did you know you don't even have to have a GED to become part of the Border Patrol?

Terrorists are not stupid. They will exploit any weakness to do us harm. Hey,when I was young we had no a/c so we slept with the doors open (just a screen door) to sleep at night. Can't do that anymore.

Quite honestly, stay in Asia and don't come here. Your country is known for its sex tourism of children. We don't need or want you here.

The terrorists came as students so I say shut down the student visa program. Let our own children take their places. Perhaps if Dar El Islam build schools instead of bombs they wouldn't need our schools. We don't need them

Actually the United State's technical advances, over the past 70 years have been fueled by immagrant scientists. Many of our country's best minds have come here on student grants and have been contracted to investigate in this country.

To say that we should shut down our student visa program because terrorists could enter again under the guise of being a student, is like saying that because there was a needle in a haystack and Farmer Brown was pricked, we should get rid of all the hay. No matter that the animals need to eat.

Finally, your arguments and logic show that maybe third world countries don't need our schools - at least until we can produce better educated people.

Karma, thank you for you comments.

Where is the security wall between the US and Canada. Drive it straight through the businesses illegally straddling the border. If someone has a house on the border they better move it or blow it up.

There used to be a luxury hotel in what is now Dover England where Romans crossing the Gaul could rest from the journey. When the barbarian terrorist came the Romans built a fortification on the spot and the wall passed through the hotel. Unfortunately they didn't connect the wall all the way to Hadrian's Wall and the Angles and Saxons destroyed Britain. That's why the English are genetically German and the Welsh are genetically British.

The title of this article shows the widespread liberal bias of our mass media. Illegal Immigrants are a huge problem for us, but every effort that is undertaken to keep them out is ridiculed in the press. The not so subtle message is that all the border patrol is doing is preventing golfers from playing golf. The reality is the those who violate our immigration pose real physical threats to our existence as a free nation. We need to protest loudly articles like this that trivialize the threat we face.

"Michael wrote: Quite honestly, stay in Asia and don't come here. Your country is known for its sex tourism of children. We don't need or want you here." But Asia is s-o-o-o-o far away. You want child prostitutes, do as the Rushie & his other closeted paedophiles do ...

C'mon, now. Rush is despicable for a number of reasons, but his worst crime, and the one that should not be forgotten (besides his really, reeally bad taste in anything) is that he is a sexual predator.
