Emrald Ash Borer, Snakehead, Wet Backs, we have all the invasive species we can manage. Lets start erradicating! Im sick of the "we cant" attitude from the government. We can stop importing Chinese crap with its wood packing material infesesations, Chinese lead tained candy, Melomene tainted dog food, we can deport the illegals and fish the snake heads out if we JUST have the backbone!

Obviously, you didn't "get" the New Yorker cover. Now back to the issue... how many Fairfax Co. residents do you honestly think want their tax money going towards trees -$1oo at that!?! I know I would, but look at the big picture here (if that's possible for you, Mark). What do people want most right now? A stable economy, our troops out of the Middle East, lower gas prices, etc. Who doesn't want to save these trees? Let's be reasonable.
