Woman sentenced for stealing from school group

She gets $180,000 and only has to pay back $75,000. The penalty is 1 year? So that leaves $105,000.00 for 1 year, not a bad salary???

Don't forget the 1 year will probably be home detention. I wonder does she have to pay taxes on $105,000?

I suppose crime really does pay.

My husband was reading this story to me the other day as out kids went to Navy Elementary where she she stole our hard earned money. All I can say is the punishment of house arrest does not fit the crime. we used to be generous with our donations but since there seems to be a lack of punishment for this crime I will not be donating to anything unless my kid is directly involved in it. This so called punishment a slap on the wrist has really p*ssed us off. So she got fat and has off a bunch of health problems that is the reason they gave for her not going to jail just inexcusable in my book. As my 15 year old son said after reading the story crime seems to pay.

I feel sorry for her kids my son knows the daughter and she is a nice kid.
