12 year old girls -makeup, bleaching their hair & wearing 'trashy' clothes

Just wondering what everyone thinks of a 12 year old girl bleaching her hair, wearing a lot of makeup and dressing like a hooker... does anyone else think this is wrong, or is it just me????

My 11yr old bugs me about letting her dress like her friends, but I won't allow it. Her newest thing is pierced ears. No way am I going to allow my minor child to have holes poked in her body. Bruise a baby and you go to jail, poke holes in their bodies and no one thinks a thing about it. Also the whole makeup thing is ridiculous at any age. Why are men okay having no paint on, yet society tells women they look all old and washed out without it? These self esteem issues need to be taught when they are young, so no I think you are totally right in thinking this garbage is hurting our baby girls.

Ok i am tottaly with you guys. I mean all my friends are dressing in the shortest thing know to life and they date like their changing their panties. I am completely and utterly discusted at them, so your right.

Im 13 and I go to a really posh girls school but so far about a third of them have dyed their hair. Most of them have pierced ears including me. I got my ears pierced when I was 9, it's no big deal. But now girls are getting second piercings that look really cool. And they don't dress like prostitutes , although one has already had sex, they dress age appropriate! Now shut the fuck up and don't give me any of your illegal crap!

Just a ? Why is the parents letting them do it. I do believe it starts there they r the ones that are letting them out of the house that way. Yes natural beauty is the best but it don't always happen. Parents can control this.

I am twelve and dressing imodist is so wrong. I got one small steak of color in my hair but you could barely see it. Dressing imodist is wrong in gods eyes but if you are not goth or imodist I think u should be fine. I god would not do neither should u! Respect plz!

This is why I don't want my daughter growing like you and your potty mouth...boys don't really like girls like you or your 'posh' friends...gross.

I love that you won't allow trashy clothes but you should let her get her ears periced my daughter got her when she was ten! And she loves them!

Its because society tells them they need too. But, piercings aren't that bad, a lot of people are too protective. And the "potty mouth" thing, what the heck. Kids are gonna grow up around a lot worse than that, no matter how hard you try to protect them. Even if you think you have the best kid-there probably sneaking out.

Im 11 and most of my friends wear make up, have their hair dyed, wear inappropriatte clothes, and have second piercings. I only do two of these things which are have ears pierced (which happend when I was 5 months old) and wear makeup,but only eye liner. I think it is completely inappropriate for girls 15 and younger to do any of these things.

Everything in moderation. Singleset of ear piercings ae quite nice--think classic diamond studs here ladies. Dyed hair--wen you are out ofthe house, do what you want. Want highlights that won't damage your hair--put lemon just on in thin sections and step out in the sun. Make-up is a right of passage and in stages. A pott mouth speaks volumes, of porn. No one, except immature people, view this as becoming and just kills you in the job market. No one wants you to look or act like Paris Hilton or Kardashenin trash. Moms--stay the course and be the parent and not the friend. Girl growing up too fast, note this--once you lose respect you never get it back and everyone remembers.

I'm twelve and I really think that we dress appropriately. I mean a tight shirt isn't that bad a tank top isn't that bad. It's when girls wear shorts up to their butt like that's inappropriate and they shouldn't be wearing them if they're that short because most likely they'll fall down constantly cause they're too small. Make up wise um it's not that bad I wear eye liner eyeshadow mascara and lipgloss occasionally blush if I'm doing something important but I mean that's what the avarage 12 year old wears. I mean we're growing up you can't stop us from wearing a bathing suit. It's basically the same thing. And about getting ears peirced and this might sound over the top but I have 3 holes on each side and I got my first one at six months. Earring holes can easily close too. So your not giving up your baby to being a hooker child your letting your daughter go into teen hood just make sure the shorts aren't too short or deffinately the skirt unless spandex. Let your child be expressive it doesn't matter if you have some restrictions just don't restrict her from being her don't restrict the music she listens too or the style she has but you have to remember its everything in moderation.

You are too young for for quite so much make-up and a parent is obviously being your pal instead of passing guidance and setting limits. One pair of holes for earrings s classic. Remember, less is more and shows a degree of class. No one really takes you seriously when your ears look like they have been hit with a shot gun blast. Tight clothing is a poor excuse for advertising your goodies. Class, ladies, think class. Make decisions that will enhance your life not wreck it due to bad choices. Step back and ask yourself, do I want to attract a guy that is classy, has respect for himself and others OR do I want a low life that is going nowhere and just uses others for personal gain? Class, restraint, and dignity will get you further in life than a bad "Look at me" getup.

Please, check out your spelling as well--people do notice. I am the very first person to state that I use imperfect sentence structure on this site, yet I do try to spell correctly. People that hire for quality jobs do notice the spelling.

Music needs to be revised as well. I'm not saying that classical music is the only thing to listen to but it is like eatting junk food. Expressing foul words, encouraging violence, and degrading women in music exhibits a tone that is nothing short of being "junk food for the ears".

Your all going to hate me but... I have my ears pierced.. One hole in each going to get my nose done in a while haven't talked about it to much with my parents. Don't want to bug them. I wear makeup. Foundation maskera eye liner blush lipstick lipgloss eye shadow are my options. I wear maskera eye shadow foundation sometimes eye liner and lipgloss rarely lipstick.ni paid for it all myself from my allowence I dress like my age. I have one pair of shots. I prefer skirts that go down to my knees. I bleached my hair today and dyed it purple... O.O I want to get some heels. Again. If I want it I pay for it. I will be getting tennis shoes though. This is how it works in my house. If I want heels makeup earrings or etc hair dye I pay for it myself with parents permission. My dads a father figure I honk of my mom as a friend but I respect her as a parent. I am homeschooled don't have many friends and I think I'm one of those emos you hear about.(emotional not wrist cutting) I like black purple red and white. I'm not religouse and nether is my family. We don't go to church... I believe in god and Jesus deeply. I am spiritly connected in between my world and the other one. I see hear touch and can speak with spirits. I jumped out of my body once. You don't have to believe me I'm not asking you to. I am interested in screamo I listen to music about sex death cursing. It's normal. I don't do drugs not planing on it and I don't see myself haveing children untill my twentys. Allowed to have a bf as long as I keep it at kissing. And I have hobbies. Ever herd of magna or anime? I draw and sketch. I use copics that I paid for myself. I made over 500 drawings in two Mounths. I also take care of aquariums I got my 55 gal for free with a stand and hood.my first allowence I got a filter and rocks and filled it up with clean well water. Fish friendly and took care of fish I got a 20 gal for Christmas my 55 gal is shut down. I have a goldfish (temp) two angel fish a Alegre eater in there. Live plants a guinea pig I currently have. I'm a green belt in tawando. You know I think what I'm doing is fine (I know I have issues with spelling I lack that ) I have a 11th grade reading level. I scream I'm teaching myself how to and not rip out my voice or annoy the parents at the same time. Hehe. My one friend and my two male friends. That's all I got. My female friends in another state she's been a friend for 3 years.
