They are still getting cited so really it is only the towing companies that are losing out (sorry Nobama). Plus, not everyone in the Canal is illegal so this is benefitting our legal residents too.
I live in San Rafael too but they don't cite or tow when the sweeper comes through. |

Out gov't is always taking and giving away. They take fines and money from the less fortunate and then have to give it right back to them in the form of benefits for WIC, their babies and helath issues

well, well, so laws that are good for the rest of San Rafael are being changed to accomodate the Canal area? what a bunch of BS.....maybe the city should build a wall around the canal area so that the residents can do what/when they want. ok, so much for the street sweeping, which I sincerely doubt they do weekly,(probably once a month if that) how about dealing with the GRAFITI problem? ok IIC (idiots in charge) of SR what say you????
|

Up here on "The Hill" they do. |

I say put up a check point and start checking imagration status. I think the canal is a safe haven for illegals and now the area looks like a mexican slum. Boot the cars, that will fix the problem. Oh by the way, need to check the owners insurance status before they get thier cars back. Makes no sense to let cars back on the streets without insurance.

I am in TL and I think we only get the sweeper a couple of times a year, if that. We have people with cars and trailers parked on the steets that have not moved in months. |
||||
Ya think? |

Oh my, the Canal Neighborhood is going to get treated like other neighborhoods. My goodness! And they are instituting their own recycling and clean up program? Who do they think they are? What a bunch of socialists, trying to make things better. Shame on them.

Flash, I AGREE 100%, yes a check point would immediately solve the problem, yes the area looks like greater downtown tijuana.......As far as insurance is concerned WE the law abiding people get auto insurance, the rest don't care because OUR LAWS are adjusted to "protect" the uninsured..... |

Why would you apply for a job in Santa Rosa in Novato? Maybe if you hadn't parked illegally then you wouldn't have been ticketed. Ooops, my bad, forgot who was posting. Maybe you just thought you were in Santa Rosa when the cops picked you up for a 72hr psychiatric hold/eval ... |

“I like mexican food a LOT” Since: Dec 08
Various Cities in Marin County ISP: San Francisco, CA |
I'm also in TL and I don't recall ever seeing a street sweeper on my street. I guess that's cause it's not always dirty, full of trash, with people working on their cars out near the sidewalk (which is not legal).
I'm glad as Jim mentioned that the canal is doing some sort of recycling, cleanup program... the residents need it more then other neighborhoods... they litter and trash the place more then any other neighborhood in Marin.

Oh my goodness, a Latino in Marin!! What ever will we do? Polluting San Rafael High with their non-caring attitudes and scandalous ways. HELLO??, San Rafael high invented 420!!! and has been a liberal sanctuary learning environment ever since!! C'mon buddy, SR's problems started with WHITE PEOPLE long before Latinos got here. We do have internet access you know, or did we steal that from you too? Bigot. |
