I think its about time we had our say on this matter!! Councilman Ellis has come up with one of the best ideas any councilmemeber has had in a long time to put this to bed one way orthe other. Council men Ellis and Wetzel have busted thier butts to make this happen and noone eles have lifted a finger. Pat those two guys on the back next time you see them for putting us the people first by giving us a chance to voice our thoughts.

I for one will go do the sample ballot for liquor sales on Sunday. We do not have a decent resturant in Shepherdsville. Who wants to eat fast food all the time? Every week my husband and I drive out of the county to get a decent meal, not to drink, but to get good food.

It won't matter what comes to town, all the workers will be so nasty you wont be able to stomach it. Yes I to go outside the county to eat, it's not because of liquor, but because I want my servers, and cooks to have teeth, and look like they have been brushed that day. Also, clean hair and nails, oh, and please keep the nasty looking tatoos covered, and not smell like cig. smoke.

Thats because resturants don't drug test and although they do have some decent people working there they always have alcoholics and druggies working there. Sad part of this fuss is that in all reality it isn't the sunday sales that stops them from coming. If I am not mistaken, Enlow had suggested letting the people vote last time but Kevin Mooney said he couldn't put it on the ballot.

Sounds like you have the wrong type of friends, i don't know where you hang out, however; the places i go, certainly does not fit your description. I perfer my city to Louisville, i do not have to worry about getting shot, my neighbor is still my friend, hand shakes still mean something, a kind word is often spoken between people. Come join our city, I will show you where to find wonder people who care. Quit hanging out in the places you have described.

First, my friends are wonderful, I have no idea what that has to do with my comment, secondly, I do not HANG OUT in places, and I do like my city, that also was not part of my comment. My statement was about the nasty resturants in town, remember Shoneys? There are several more, everyone knows the dirty ones, it's a shame I would much rather spend my money at home, but until things change I will go where the people and places are clean.

I can see in away where you are coming from, however; I still believe the council was elected to make decisions, are we going to have a sample ballot on all issues. Yes, i think Ellis and Wentzel are doing a good job. However so are the rest of the council. I do not believe anyone has asked for any assistance, in fact there will be very little work needed, you have the poll workers, they fill out the ballots, you count the ballots.

I have been told the ballot was 75% in favor of Sunday sales. I believe the people of Shepherdsville have spoken.

Dear LEAVE, after reading your post I hope YOU dont reproduce, your writing, and spelling is a joke. I am not a section 8 person, I pay for those types (you) with my six figure income. Your language shows what type of person you are.

Money and how they will make is all the restaurants are concerned about when they decide to locate somewhere. As far and the servers, cooks and the restaurant I want them all clean. The number of teeth the staff has is not important because I plan to chew my food myself.

I think we should let alcohol sales happen. I want good sit down restaurants to come to Shepherdsville. After I get out of Church on Sunday - I have to drive to Louisville to get a good meal.

With all the things going on in Washington DC and in Frankfort seems the churches should be more worried about those issues then buying a glass of wine with a Prime Rib.

If this happens though.. please someone tell the restaurant to build a good size place. They built the Tumbleweed in Hillview and it is too small. That is why I rarely go to it.

Oh.. if Randy Pace dont like restaurants that sale alcohol.. he can go to White Castle.

Snobby preachers that look down on everyone else, talk trash about other churches and pastors need to repent themselves.

I am totally against alcohol sales like Mayor Sherman Tinnell! Christian people should not drink, especially on Sundays! Shame on you people! At least, Sherman had his bars closed on Sundays!

Christian people shouldn't drink according to what they preach along with a plethera of other things they shouldn't do. But, it definately dosen't stop them from doing it when the congregation isn't around. That's the funny thing about self rightous christians who do bad things. Start with the person in the mirror before you judge other people and make decisions for everyone else.

I don't judge others. Nothing is wrong with a social drink with your meal.....that said, why can't the people allow one day for God? You have pushed God out of the schools, out of the Justice system, and now they are trying to push God out of Christmas! Where does it stop. When do Christians get to have any rights? Truth of the matter is that Sunday Alcohol Sales is only a very small part of what dtermines if those restaurants come. They look at population per square mile, how many restaurants are in the area, average economy level of the general population and many more things.
