I am opposed to burying in the city limits in ones yard. If this is allowed to happen, there will be more and more that will do this. It does no respect for the lady at this point. She should have allready have been laid to rest. We all love the house where we raise our children and have good memories, but being buried in the yard should not take place. When we all choose to live in town, we have to live by the policy to also respect our neighbors and other establishments we live by. The children of this man should try to talk him out of this. He will grieve himself to death, with her there. It is hard enough for me to visit my parents at the cementery but I go..greive..talk to them...and return home to go on with my life,as he should do.

Maybe he should have had her cremated and then he could do whatever he wanted...just a thought.

If it's his property, shouldn't he be allowed to? I don't see how this would bother anyone else.

Let me ask this question. If your wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, etc asked you to bury them in a certain place, wouldn't you do everything in your power to grant that request? This is a family that has done nothing but good things for the city of stevenson. Shouldn't they be allowed to grant the last wish of a loved one and that be that? It isn't right that the town of stevenson continues to put the family through all of this. The family is doing what they think is right. All they want is for everyone to leave them be. They say the family will grieve themselves to death if the grave is near by. The truth is that the family will grieve regardless. It is actually a comfort to have her nearby. Its almost is like she is still with us. We don't want her to be a part of our life that we can cry over and then act like nothing ever happened. We want to keep her near to celebrate her life. If half of you knew what she done for your children while she was alive, ya wouldn't be against this. She has fed, clothed, and sheltered at least half of the children that has lived in stevenson over the years. She is a marvelous woman and one of the greatest ladies i have ever known. Trust me, if the tables were turned, you would fight as hard as we are for this great lady of stevenson.

Leave this family alone. That is their property and know one has a right to say what they can and can't do on their own land that they pay taxes on.

we should have graveyards for such as this . why would you want to bury someone outside your front door ? too cheap to buy a plot in the cemetary .

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Cancer

No one can accuse you of being a wallflower today! The modern cowboy or cowgirl has a tendency to shoot from the lip and you won't be afraid to tell it like it is. Your response will be quick, and your timing near perfect. If you don't accomplish what you set out to do this morning by the end of the day, it won't be for lack of trying. Getting an 'A' for effort is sometimes better than facing the test.
