Leslie Aaron Cox, Good Times Remembered!!!!

Les loved to fish. He loved to play with his little dog booger. He loved his family. He was a great cook, took care of his Mamaw when she was sick. Helped out older people when they needed help. Litte kids loved him and he would always make them laugh. He was always small in size, but his heart was bigger than anyones his age. When he was little, he had to act tuff to keep the other kids from picking on him. He was the most tender hearted person you would ever want to meet. If you have a special memory of Les that you want to share post it here. We will never forget him.

This picture is the last time me,him & his dad every got to go fishing. it was taken 2 weeks before he was shot. He was the only one to catch a fish and when he caught it booger tried to jump in the water and get it.
She didnt know what to think of it she just looked at it. and kept trying to catch the ducks as they would get close to the bank he took that little dog everywhere and even called home to check on her like she was a kid.

He looks young! How old is he? I thought the cops were bad here. What do ya'll got going on over yonder?

He was shot the day before his 22nd. birthday. He was looking forward to his birthday for alot of reasons. He went to the lake to pick out a spot for the family to have a cook out the next day to celebrate his birthday.

is he related to a young girl who married a stapleton in lee county(a brother)? if so, i may know him.

Leslie there are so many good things I will allways remember about you.It floods my mind everyday. I sat here and watch you and Jake oil a ball glove and bend it to try to stretch it because you had played catch with him that day untill you had blisters on your hands. I watched as you sat on the floor with him . He was so happy just to be with you. the ball glove was still laying where you put it that night when I got home form the hospital July the 3rd. I broke my heart. There is so much i could say but the tears blinds me and i can't breave. I love you so much Coral was here tonight she said your name twice she is just 2 and she stills knows you should be here. She is still your little green mm and mm. My dear sweet Leslie I miss you more everyday. I long to here you come in the back door and call my name again. Your candle burns every night as i stand and pray that scot moore will get what is coming to him and i prayed every time I heard a sirene go up the road that they were going after scot,because i knew he couldn't keep his cool long . His free ride was over. He couldn't stop people and rob them or drive state trucks and fill up with gas on the state. Not to mention all the money he got under the table and his checks from the goverment. My prayer have been answered the sirens were for him that night i seen all the police go up the road. It seems no one wants him . You would laugh to think that he would have to be strapped down like Hanibal Lector looks like that is what it will come to sense he is trying to act crazy now. I am sorry I can't be as forgiving as you allways were.I am glad he is in jail and i do hope everyone who allowed him to bully the young people of this place for so long. They are all to blame for his actions. they knew what he was and turned him loose on us all. I got to hold baby Leslie Montana you would love playing with her. She loves her grandma just like you did. She is beautiful. I think she likes your mamaw too. Watch over her for us and i know you will watch over all the little ones. I love you more today than yesterday if the could be posible. I should have been the first to go but i will allway be with you and i know you are with me. sometimes i can feel you. There will be a candlelight memorial service to in memory of Les Cox on May 31st @ 8:30. This will be held at the Highsplint Pond on top of the hill. Everyone who knew him is welcome to come. We only ask that everyone bring a candle so that we know everyone will have one.
Please pass the word around so all who knew Les will know and come.

I didn't know leslie or his family but,I came across this and the found his memorial page.I had tears running down when I looked at his pics with his little dog.I bet it misses him alot ,too.Iwill keep you all in my prayers and am so sorry for yourloss.

I see this thread is pretty much dead,but I did want to say I had looked at the pics on his mem. site,and it was very sad.I feel so much for Les and his family.I just hope things are looking up for you.I will pray for you every day.

Thank you very much for your prayers. We check the sites and read the messages. We are fighting for justice. We will not stand by and let the one that took Leslie away from us go free. He did not deserve this. He was a young man at the park with his girlfriend when that nut decided to start a fight with Leslie just to show off in front of the young woman that was having her birthday party there.
