You can only donate twice a week now. And it has to be at least two days in between. It pays $40 the first two times. After that it's $20 the first time in a week and them $40 the 2nd. On your 8th time you'll get $83. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours. I go to CSL and it's on wienbach. You can't have any piercings or tattoos within the last year. But it's a good way to earn a little extra money.

Do you have to know your blood type and why do they pay so much when you do it eight times?

@mommy the red cross doesnt give money for anything you donate its all for blood banks. I doubt you can take your child with you unless they are of age where they can sit still in the waiting area cause you cant get up and move around when they are have you in the chair.

You have to be 18 to go into the building so no kids. You can have tattoos and piercings as long as they were not within the last year. And you do not have to know your blood type.

I hate that place. I was drinking one day and went there to give a donation. How was I to know it wasn't the sperm bank? I can say they don't appreciate a man masturbating in the lobby.

Yeah, sorry guys the rules have changed a lot in the 4 years since I've been there. Sorry about the kids, but no one under age of 18 is allowed in the building due to "legal liability issues" Also, we have a new rule to where there is no food or drinks past the lobby area, and they are trying really hard to enforce that rule as well.
Payment is now on a visa card like Ciao Bella xo said. The payments are:
110lbs-149lbs - new donors get$30 first and second visit, then afterwards $15 first visit of the week and $15 second visit of the week.
150lbs- 174lbs - new donors get $40 first and second visit, then afterwards $20 first visit of the week and $30 second visit of the week.
$175 and above - new donors get $40 first and second visit, then afterwards $20 first visit of the week and $35 second visit of the week.
For all new donors, if you make 8 visits with in 45 says of your first donation day, you get $63.
Now with the tats and piercings; If you have had any new tats or piercings in the last year, you cannot donate, and this is because you cannot show proof that you had it done professionally, or if it was done with professional equipment. Home made tats and piercing have a higher risk of Hepatitis and other diseases per Coperate.
We have also changed the rule on placement of tats, if you have a tat over where they can stick you on one arm, but none on the other arm you are now okay to donate, just as long as you have a good vein in that arm.
I hope that answered some questions for you guys. Have a nice day!
