What an idiot! Coalville trys so hard not to be another "park city" that it dying slowly on the vine. they refuse to take on any of the burdens the westside has thus do not reap any of the rewards, but they are sure quick to have a hand out for the westside tax revenue. with businesses closing the delapidated main street its their own fault. next time a costco or another wallmart is suggested, step up. It would go great in the old car dealship location. boycatt humpty dumpsters

coalville mayor is exactly right. it took them over 2 years to build the skate park in coalville, and is very sad compared to park city skatepark. all the money goes to park city and that area there. we all live in summit county and deserve the tax money equally. arent there enough millonares catered to in park city. its about time to help the surrounding communties that support all your businesses there. we are the workers and the shoppers that park city survives on. its about time we get our fare share in the smaller communities.

Duane was pretty funny in his remark that is this bridge was needed in Park City, the only argument would be about what kind of art to put on it.

Coalvilled and Summit County need to come together to solve this, instead of playing "hot potato" with very serious issue.

Go drive over that bridge and you will understand that it is a critical part of the Coalville road system, and for it to be unusable by fire trucks, or any trucks is absolutely ridiculous.

Why are the concerned parties not working together ???? Shame on everyone involved.

If you earn money you will have money. I don't see the East county doing anything except beg. Money should stay where it in earned.

The bridge was damaged by the heavy loads of gravel coming out of a gravel pit that was used to prepare for the Olympics. Summit County issued the conditional use permit for this gravel pit to open in 1995. The bridge was not built to withstand this type of traffic.

Micheal that sounds a little socialistic. the teabagging friends of coalville won't approve. think of it this way, build your own tax base by allowing retail, quality resturants and housing developements then you can shop and work nearer to home

Coalville get's more than their fair share of revenue. Let's incorporate Sniderville and other areas into into Park City. then Coalville and Kamas can let their kids build a house next to their parents and they can store all the automobile's they want in the front yard. Eastsider's you'll never be a Park City, because of mentality. Westsider's you'll become a Coalville if you don't get out.

The Summit County Commission issued a permit for a gravel pit that has to use this bridge and has damaged the bridge with the heavy trucks used in the business. Summit County collects ALL of the tax revenues for the gravel pit and the bridge does not access ANYTHING in the city limits, but the bridge itself sits inside the city limits by mere feet.

So, Summit County permits the business and collects all of the taxes from the operation. This same operation damages a bridge in Coalville City, rendering it unsafe. Summit County tells Coalville they'll have to fix it themselves. Fair??

Money should be kept where it's earned?
Who paid for all the road construction and projects for the Olympics? Not Park City residents!

AMEN to that.......Park City mentality is all about ME< ME< ME. When these small towns get bad enough and the drugs get a good grip....the stealing will come next and the social elite in Park City better look out. Park City forgets who helped them out when they were in a time of need 40 years ago.

thats ignorant. 90 percent of this town works in park city. the money we make is spent all ver the county and state. you need to inform yourself and be educated on what is really going on here. summit county commisioners cater to much to the park city are. we are all in summit county. midway is in another county and should really stay outta this.

park city wouldnt even exsist without its kind neighbors to the north. you come and use our lake and trash what you think you are entitled to. you are entitled to nothing! taxes collected in a county are for use in that county. who do you think mows your lawns and does your dishes and watches your kids. it is the simple honest working man. maybe the outside towns should boycott park city. no trash pick ups. no pools cleaned. no snow removal. it is us in the smaller towns that built your house and poured your driveway. it is really the mentality of park ites that no one deserves anything but me attitude that is ruiining that town. sad to say but seems to be the way. this is from someone that deals with thousands of local people everyday.

I work in Salt Lake but have no claims to anything there. Why is it that you think that because a person works in a place they have a claim to anything?

And the person throwing the trash has a Coalville sticker on his license. go figure. The trash pick up is something that Coalville does for Park City, free? Your an idiot. Maybe you should run for Mayor of Kamas or Coalville
