Black Men family picnic set for today

I'm white. Can I go to the black picnic and get me some free bugers and dogs, or is it just a racist event?

Hamburgers and Hot Dogs? Sounds like a white boy 4th of july party. Get real. This is a black picnic, ribs, greens, grits, sweet potato pie, crack, heroin, meth, weed, Malt Liquor and Gansta Rap. I'm so disapointed, I'm not going. Who organized this mamby pamby event?

"The Coalition of White Men for Positive Change" holding a picnic would be considered outrageous. I'm so sick and tired about everyone being encouraged to be be proud about and to celebrate their race except white people.

I was with Doom and Gloom until stepping off into the absurd. If more fathers participated in events such as this (white and black alike), we'd have less crime and better family values instilled within the youth of Lake County.

Ok Orlando. We are a city that is a mixture of diffent races creeds and colors. Why people have to section them selves off, at this point is beyond me. Being a black man I am sadded to see some of the comments on this blog. Being any type of man we should be ashamed for not coming together as a community and helping each other out. No one race is without its faults. We can all learn something from each other.We should be talking about how to educate our kids, or how to vote the right type of leaders in, or how to truly love our neighbors. However instead we 'd rather bash each other over sterotypical topics; Black pride; Brown pride; White Power. Stupid.What ever happened to wanting to be an American? The land of the free and home of the brave sounds more like Moaning groaning and excuses. We are better then this or at least thats what we like to tell the rest of the world.

If you feel that way, why wasn't it called The All Peoples Family Picnic instead of The Black Man's Picnic. By just using this name for the event, the organizers aren't helping the cause to unite all people and stop the differences between black and white.
